I don't know if it's a "fine tie" but if you like it wear it. It gave me vertigo when I looked at the full size pic....also took me back to HS Homecoming Dance freshman year (1992) match that tie with a colored shilk shirt and some Z. cavarichi pants and you would have been the sh!t.
  2. MD, I think that depends where the recovery comes from. The post 2001 recovery was driven mostly by the housing bubble so NEO was left out. If advanced manufacturing or the medical field are leading the recovery NEO should fair much better than the last recovery. Not to restate the obvious.

RnR did you bail on Lilith Fair?

So will Gloria be moving to Florida or Minnesota?
  5. Agreed. The core building may have been historic but the current structure was a frankenstein mess of additions and facades. 2 story parking deck? huh?

Yeah it's great to have somebody in awe of your average nothing special abilities. Here's some advice to remember, that baby carrier is your friend. Don't be afraid to take the baby out to eat and go places while you can. It gets harder when they are mobile or their are multiple children. Mine are 8,6 and 4 so resturants are finally OK as long as they don't take too long, but buffets are more work for us then they are worth. You end up not sitting down they whole time. Enjoy it. they grow up fast.

Lowes in general is very good to deal with. I am sure that it will get resolved but I was just annoyed. It gets tricky when you pay lowes of HD but the actual delivery or work is done by another party (or at least its that way with HD) The main Kraftmaid plant is Middlefield (also there is one in Utah) which is a little under an hour from my house so I am pretty sure the delivery guy was an actual Kraftmaid employee. Actually there was a caller ID from them around 6:30 while I was out walking the dogs so I think they were checking on us.

:drunk: :drunk: :drunk: :drunk: I am not sure that's the context that you meant it, but that certainly is good advice for parenting.

Too lazy to find the pet peeve thread. Latest in my on going kitchen renovation. I bought a set of cabinets from the Kraftmaid outlet and then went to Lowes to order the remaining cabinets, including a double oven cabinet for the wall oven/micro/warming drawer that I am installing. Soooooo Kraftmaid sends the delivery guy alone because his helper called off yesterday and the double oven cabinet gets left on my porch instead of in the dining room (which is the staging ground for the kitchen renov currently). My neighbor and I got to move the cabinet in the house last night. Grrrrr. I ok'd him leaving it on the porch because I was at work and got the phone call. I knew I could get it in. I am letting the wife handle this one since we paid for delivery. She's a bigger b!tch than I ever can be and we will get some sort of compensation.

The closest experience that compares to living with a new born would be the last week of the quarter/semster and finals week in college. You are a walking zombie because you are sleep deprived and working your ass off. How ever that ends and you get to go home or on spring/winter break. With a newborn you just get to sleep for 6 hours straight if you are lucky. My kids slept through the night last but damn dogs woke me up last night at 4:15 to go out. If it's not one thing its another.

BTW, I don't know if anyone picked this up, but James Gammon, who played Lou Brown on Major League died a few days ago "You may run like Mayes, but you hit like sh!t." http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_league_stew/post/James-Gammon-played-Lou-Brown-in-Major-League-?urn=mlb,256597 I just was about to post it. "uuh I dunno I've got a guy about a set of white walls on the other line. Can I call you back?"

LOL. None of ours were late but the second half of that staement is sooo true. I feel like it is a major accomplishment taking them anywhere on time, let alone getting somewhere early.

Yes, it does. If you don't have a good record, you don't make the playoffs. HUSH! You know what I mean. :whip: If you make the playoffs it's a whole new season. Your record, in the regular season, doesn't means bupkis! Believe me, we are Cleveland sports fans. I know this better than most. Best regular season record? It don't mean sh!t. I know. Now will you let me enjoy a little bit of good sports news, the little ray of sunshine on my sports fan mojo. Well I guess besides the winning streak there is a new Browns season coming up. I did hear that Polk High is going to be fielding a winner this fall too. They've got a kid who they think can break the touchdowns in a single game record. he's suppose to be magic when he touches the ball. I hope he sprains an ankle...

KJP, from your recent posts it sound like you are letting your inner Browns fan out of his cage a little bit....

You sound like my kind of girl RnR.

It would be tough, but what is in their favor is they are beating the teams in their division and finish the season with a 3 game series with the ChiSox. I wouldn't hold your breath they but if they do somehow manage to make the playoff it will be a down to the wire exciting stretch of baseball. I am just glad they are playing interesting baseball. The majority of the last two season have been too painful to watch.

6 game win streak. Maybe LeChoke took the curse with him to Miami.

My three boys eat enough already, I am fearing when they are all teenagers together, since there is almost exactly 4 years between the oldest and youngest. I may have to take up urban farming and start raising cows and chickens in my Lakewood backyard. I remember that when was in HS I didn't have sports or work after school one of my favorite things was to make a box of Mac n' Cheese and eat the whole thing for a snack while I watched TV, I even had a special serving bowl that fit it all. That would be at 3 and then I would eat a full dinner at 5:30 or 6:00. Those were the days.

http://www.amazon.com/60s-Were-90s-Beautiful-People/dp/B000005X90 Does anybody else remember this? It was a remix of Hendrix project from around 1994? I had an old MP3 backup cd that ended up in my car, so I listened to it on my way to work from this morning (Actually now that I think about it, my MP3s were made from a cassette that I copied off my friends older brother's CD when this came out in HS). London House DJ and group remix Hendrix over 90s techno beats? Sounds horrible right? You would think so, but actually it is very good. A few of the song structures are lacking but overall it is very good and some of the songs are down right great. The sampling and sequencing is top notch and the best songs take Hendrix vocals and riffs and transform them into something entirely new, but still maintaining a feeling that is Hendrix. The other amazing thing is these guys were probably the Dangermouse of the 90s and then pretty much vanished. I spent 20 minutes crawling google when I got to work this morning and all I could find out is the two main guys were a DJ named Du Kane and a producer named Luke Baldry. Do those names mean anything to the techno/house fans on here? Jimi Hendrix & Beautiful People - if 60's were 90's (p.m. Dawn remix)

No it's been really mild the last couple of years. My house has hot water heat and this the first time in 2 or 3 years that I have put the window units in. All I keep thinking about is how the people in the mid-atlantic, from say Baltimore on South deal with the muggy heat all summer long, every summer. Yuck.

I remember one of my first Browns games was a Monday night game vs the LA Rams around 86 or so (looked it up it was Oct 26, 1987 Browns win 30-17) . I was 8, no idea what my dad was thinking. The whole stadium was taunting Eric Dickerson. It was awesome. The old stadium sold out for a MNF game, it doesn't get much better than that. Damn I miss the old stadium. Even if I always got stuck behind the pole because I was a kid...... My last game in the Municipal was this snoozefest that I could have sworn in was in '95 but apparently it was in '94 I, Browns 13-6 over the Pats. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/199411060cle.htm
