And those figures were for a year they were god awful starting in the second half of the opener until the last 5 games. Football rules. Really the problem isn't so much that Cleveland fans are fickle as the Cavs were god awful while the Indians were good (95-07) and the Cavs have been great since Dolan imploded the Indians. Even during the Cavs lean years attendance was middle of the pack except for the year they threw to get LBJ. The teams the Indians have fielded the last two year are unwatchable and it shows in attendance. Anybody want to check the Attendance for 2007? The Indians appeared back on the way up although the city was still holding their breath, Cavs went to the Finals and the Browns were mediocre. I'll bet the browns and cavs were in the top 10 of the league and the Indians were middle of the pack. I think that it shows the region can support 3 teams. The bottom line is Cleveland fans will still attend to watch mediocre to middle of the pack teams, we stay away from unwatchable horrible teams.... EDIT : Ticket sales will be fine Lerner bought a lot of goodwill from the fans bringing in Holgren and Heckert. A good draft help too. Plus due to last years debacle the Browns should have a fairly easy schedule aside from playing Batltimore and Pittsburgh twice.

Yep Badass is right. They are at Nautica on July 25th too. I really tried to like "Attack and Release' (their last album, made with producer Dangermouse) but couldn't get into it. "Brothers" is the real deal again. Their was an article about them in the latest Rolling Stone explaining all that was going on during Attack and Release and how the two of them just locked themeselves in a studio in New Orleans to make Brothers.

Hmm I haven't heard from my wife all day, now I know where she has been.
  7. It's officially open? Thank God. Now all you eastsiders can stay on your side of town... :-o :-o and maybe I can actually get a Parmageddon... Sort of MELT related as it is almost next door, there is a sign for "Deagen's" opening Fall 2010 in the old Barnacle Bill's, Cleats space on the corner of Warren and Detroit in Lakewood. I am guessing sports bar-ish but i really have no idea...

Yay! Lebron is staying, how do I know? Because Jim Brown just said he is going to leave... http://www.cleveland.com/ohio-sports-blog/index.ssf/2010/05/lebron_james_will_leave_says_f.html
  9. Man I bet those make some weird noises when the wind blows across them....
  10. For those who were wondering if the meeting rooms are too far from the med mart. I just pulled up Gmaps and from the furthest corner of the med mart (St.clair and Ontario) to the middle of Mall C on lakeside where it looks like the Meeting rooms where be is a like less than a quarter mile, 440 yards or under 500 paces for an adult. That' nothing, it's less than a 5 minute walk. We just need to keep in mind this still will be a relatively small Convention center For comparison it's .27 miles to walk across the IX center diagonally from one corner to the other....

Which is too bad because on Friday last week Rome was sticking up for the city when his listeners wanted to rag on Cleveland as losers. He said the Cleveland fans were the real victims because all we did was kiss his ass for 7 years,

oy! The Summer of LeBron! I can't handle it..on to the Indians, uh wait Wood gave up 27 runs in the 9th last night...OK how about the Browns....Did anybody read that in the Browns OTA the QBs were accurate and the recievers..gasp... actually caught the ball. "LeBron James, screwing with your hopes, dreams and emotions only a little less than your psycho ex-girlfriend who was nailing your friend behind your back after she told you she wanted to marry you and have your kids."

HTS I know but the New yorkers are especially annoying... On the brightside I guess we are making progress if Cleveland is described as beige instead sh!t brown or dreary and grey....

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/20/opinion/20bissinger.html?hp http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/jeff_pearlman/05/18/lebron.ny/index.html (gag, gag, vomit, vomit....) So now LBJ has to move to New York to grow as a human being. Why not go play in London or Toyoko if being wordly is that important for being a coddled professional athlete. The SI article is especially demeaning. I am trying to ignore these articles but I can't help myself...

Porkchop Express!!! I haven't watched (web filter at work)this but it showed up on google and Alec Baldwins best lines in Outside Providence
  17. CBC replied to a post in a topic in Urbanbar
Not the best movie ever made but one of my favorites. Outside Providence (which is sadly out of print right now)- Alec Baldwin's first character acting role as Dumph's dad. I also like Vanilla Sky although it is definately not one of the best movies ever made. I think that the reason that I like it is because I like the soundtrack and I like watching it over and over hoping that someday it will all make sense. Did anybody ever see the original?
  18. So predictable....

Celtics are on fire no doubt but those games should have been a lot closer (including the cavs blow out of the celts). What blew my mind that they appeared to quit.
  20. Welcome to parenthood... I guess I will have to wait for the rate the suburbs survey and stuff the ballot box...

Facebook post of the day: "Of all the ways to kick off my birthday I would have never suspected being threaten by a jugggalo who then made me a ballon poodle. My life is sometimes very strange." BTW for those that don't know what a juggalo is, they are Insane Clown Posse (ICP) followers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juggalo

Funny, I always attracted crazy girls. Like my ex-girlfriend in college who was on Prozac, didn't tell me she was on Prozac and then decided to wean herself from Prozac. I had no idea what was going on....... My wife is crazy but in a lovable kooky way. She's Darhma and I am Greg. KJP, I would offer up my sister but she is a petite fiesty Italian so i doubt she meets your Russian women qualifications...
