Hey, I guess this as a good a place for this as anywhere. Today's Cleveland Groupon is the a one year family membership to the Cleveland Museum of Art for $30, it is normally $65. It is good for two 2 adults and any children in the household. I just bought one. Go to groupon.com and select Cleveland. You can either sign up or link through facebook.

Cleveland newbie "dumb" questions
I saw MSB play at Salt Fork State park when I was around 5 or 6 back in 1983. We had rented a cabin down there and Epic (that was his Cleveland record label, IIRC) had rented out the lodge for the weekend for some event and he was the main act. My little sister made friends with one of the executive's grandson at the pool. We were told by the staff that we could watch from the back. We were standing there and the exec walked by and invited us to sit with him up front. I believe we have a picture of my mom somewhere dancing with MS. As far as his music, as AJ puts it, meh. Some are OK. I am really too young to be in his demographics.

Cleveland Trivia
Was it on Whiskey Island by the Coast Guard Station? Nope. Notice I said downtown. Corner of W. 9th (water street) and Lakeside (Lake Rd). The stairs to the former lighthouse are still standing. Built in 1872. Wow, check out that link I posted. I never knew the 1872 lighthouse was the second one on that site. the original "original" was built in 1829. Plenty of great pictures in that book too.

Seattle. It is actually warmer in the summer than San Fran. Of course it rains all the time though. The sound gives it a barrier that the other pacific costal cities don't have.

Cleveland Trivia
From wiki, I knew the answer but copy and paste is easier than typing.... The place called "Cleaveland" eventually became known as "Cleveland". In 1830, when the first newspaper, the "Cleveland Advertiser," was established, the editor discovered that the head-line was too long for the form, and accordingly left out the letter "a" in the first syllable of "Cleaveland," which spelling was at once adopted by the public.[2] An alternative explanation is: "Cleaveland's surveying party of fifty-two people included two women. The surveyors laid out a town along the eastern bank of the Cuyahoga River and named it Cleaveland. Because of a spelling error on the original map, the town of Cleaveland was spelled as Cleveland."[

Agreed. I can honestly say that I have never seen this. Where do you see this? Some of the houses in Lakewood do have couches on the porch, kind of makes me feel like I am back in Athens.

Cleveland Trivia
I plugged the corner of W 38th and Franklin where the park is located in to Gmaps pedometer and drew a straightline to public square, according to that there is 25-30 ft difference in elevation between those two points. Make sense why they put the resevoir there. The steam pumps they used back then had to be monsters to keep that filled.

And that is, even being said even before the home opener....It's going to be a really long season. I heard that Acta has a secret plan. He said he saw it in a movie once. He has a cardboard cutout of Larry Dolan in a bikini saying you guys suck in the locker room, and every game the team wins towards taking the division he covers a piece UP.- Favorite Music At The Moment?
Not really a favorite but for those on facebook check out the Twilight Singers fan page. It is loaded with great music videos from old R&B to electronic to Latin to straight up rock. I am not sure if Greg Dulli is making the posts himself , but whoever is doing it has a killer ear. I know Dulli was/is in the studio working on the new album so he maybe digging around for inspiration.- Pet Peeves!
