Completely random, but can anybody reccomend a good place to get a wool rug cleaned in the Cleveland area?

Grumpy, I think that you can insulate around knob and tube but you have to limit those circuits to 10 amps. Or as an alternative you could also skip the stud space where the wires run. My house is a heating disaster, our gas budget is over $300 per month.

But what about the people who drink the Fresca? But seriously I would find it about offensive as being called a sheep, which I think that it is more in line with than being a straight dumbass, which IMHO is different.

This nice stretch of weather is setting us up for another blizzard at the home opener. It has been way too nice.

How was that? I haven't been there since when it first opened when I was in highschool. I seem to rememeber it having as sweaty sock/feet smell like Chuck E. Cheese does. It could just be a false memory, who knows. If you need a Easter candy fix, let me know because we have way too much. Edit: I probably should make a east side/west side joke because that is prime material but that would require too much effort.

So AJ how did you make out on the Easter candy?

Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday night to the Wolstein Center. It definitely was exciting night going into double overtime between the Steamers and the Pin-Ups, for a 1 point Steamer victory. It was well attended again despite being the night before Easter, so all the support is appreciated by Mrs. CBC and the rest of the BRRG ladies. The next bout will be May 8th. I hope to see you there! Actually please PM if you are going, I am interested in meeting up with some fellow UO'ers whenever I get a chance.

Why is the AP article on SI.com more informative than the PD article on Cleveland.com? The way this reads he really didn't remember he had a loaded .45 in the bag.

That sounds like his personality not the head injury, but what do I know. Rob, your family reunions and holidays must be a rip roaring good time the way you describe your siblings.

Wow, is slow moving time a big pet peeve of mine right now. I went outside at lunch and my entire afternoon has been blown because I am itching to get out of here and get home. Hence, the large number of posts on UO.

Maybe you should switch back to the train :)

I am confused? When did they find the gun? As he was boarding? Or was in the security checkpoint? EDIT: It was at the checkpoint.

Isn't the answer obvious, steal the pieces that you need from the train table in the kids section at Barnes and Noble.... Spread the rage around. I would say all parties are deserving, the first two for what they did. and the Imaginarium people for what they didn't do.

I just thought of another good one, when my oldest was 3 or so snuck into our bed in the middle of the night, fell out of our bed and hit his chin on the side board of the frame ,driving his lower teeth into the inside of his upper lip. Nothing like being jolted out of bed by a crying kid bleeding everywhere and not having any idea what is going on. We got it to stop so we didn't go to the ER to get stitches. He had a fat lip for weeks.
  17. I posted these in another thread and figured that they belonged here too. Links to the various groups working to bring renewable/advanced energy industry to NEO, Confusingly they all are called Great Lakes but are seperate organizations. Great Lakes Energy Development Taskforce (County) http://development.cuyahogacounty.us/en-US/energy-task-force.aspx Great Lakes Wind Network (Manufacturing) http://www.glwn.org/ Great Lakes Energy Institute (research at Case) http://energy.case.edu/

There how ever a big push to capitalize on Cleveland manufacturing expertise to make the city a hub for renewalable/advanced energy. It is in it's infancy right now but there seems to a synergy building between the groups attacking the issue from different angles. The county taskforce just announced that an RFP will be going out in the next few months for a trial of 3-5 off shore wind turbines to be installed in Lake Erie. The group at Case is focusing on energy research and there is also a separate group working to match up Cleveland manufacturing (mostly former automotive suppliers) with wind turbine and other energy manufactures. So it is a potential growing field in the city. Edit: links, Confusingly they all are called Great Lakes but are seperate organizations. Just a bump to the thread, given the eerily nice spring weather, what spring events will everybody be doing with their kids/families?

^ My three year old has a chipped front tooth from a bathtub exiting lunging incident when he wa around a year old. There was no slipping, he was standing and I went to pick him up and he tried to lunge into my hands and missed. Totally caught me off guard. Wife was not happy about that one.....

You take care of that little RnR. I know it was a long tough road getting here, so I can understand your paranoia If we would have stopped or were limited to one (or two) child(ren), I am sure my views on parenting would have be different. The first kid was by the book all the way (except for the inspecting the carseat thing, who knew?). Once they out number you your focus shifts to hoping that you get the bare minimum done, instead of doing everything perfectly. Hmm, too bad UO didn't have a thread for this..... :) BTW, I am half joking about the carseats , I didn't know that you could have them inspected but I always made sure they were secure and the straps were position correctly across their bodies. Of course then they unbuckle the top buckle wiggle their arms out and start leaning out of the seat while you are driving 75 mph on the highway.
  24. CBC replied to CincyImages's post in a topic in Urbanbar
Uh, I guess I am into laissez-faire parenting. I never even knew you could have your car seat checked to see if it is installed right. Oh well all three are still alive. All three are in booster seats, which are way easier than carseats, especially when they can bucle themselves in.

Ah Little RnR is now in the big boy car seat? Question, do they steal car seats, especially if it is in there with those LATCH straps? I have an engineering degree and I never could figure out those LATCH thingys. I always ended up using the seatbelt, especially since we switched seats between cars.
