Ohio Intercity Rail (3C+D Line, etc)
OK I did try to search Google and this thread, but had no luck. Did Florida get any FRA grants for the $3.5 B needed for the "Orlanda to Tampa" HSR from scratch?

Not exactly off-topic. More like talking about other topics outside of their thread. Wow is the 3-C Project thread is red hot. I am afraid to post anything on the topic, seeing that I know exactly nothing about rail, except I enjoying taking the Maryland Commuter rail from Baltimor into DC when I am there on business.

1988 Business Trip - Just a few photos from El Paso and Juarez
I got to go down to El Paso/ Juarez in March of 1997 as a 19 YO co-op for mock build out and a team building exercise. It was my first trip to the border towns and NAFTA towns of Mexico. I don't remember much about Jauarez except that my coworkers had a favorite store they stopped and bought beer each night after leaving the plant at night to drink while waiting to cross the border and that when you looked down upon the city from El Paso at night there was a dark spot in the middle of the lights where the slums were. Also it snowed while I was there. So much for going somewhere slightly warmer than Ohio.

Lakewood: Development and News
The construction next to DD at the site of the old Lakewood Christian church will be a Social Security Admin building. I am worried about RT 6 there never seems to be anybody in there.

Looks good in the poster, until you realize that the premise of the movie is that she had 5 breakfast burritos and a XL coffee for breakfast. After drinking draft PBR (or Fat Tire) the night before!

Definately random, I remember my mom made me watch that as a kid. It was one of her favorite movies growing up. She is 5'2" so I wonder if she was just wishful. I guess we all can have dreams.....

“Being in close proximity to (Interstate) 271 and Chagrin (Boulevard) should be a welcome change for most,” Mr. Alt said. Umm except if you live on the westside...Brillant! If you live in Cleveland Heights it's not a problem...

Blast at vacant West Side house leaves at least 15 families homeless
Did anybody feel this last night? This is crazy. Exploding houses? That's insane. I am amazed that there were no deaths. Blast at vacant West Side house leaves at least 15 families homeless By Pat Galbincea, The Plain Dealer January 26, 2010, 7:25AM Thomas Ondrey, The Plain Dealer The explosion of a vacant home Monday afternoon on West 83rd Street near Madison Avenue left the neighborhood debris-laden and shattered the lives of people living nearby. The blast left at least 15 families homeless. The Red Cross and nearby churches were offering shelter. Many houses were without electricity late Monday night. Is UrbanOhio addicting?
Ummm, 10 o'clock on a Friday night what does that say? Although I have to agree with the earlier poster who said the buzz isn't quite the same now that most of the projects have been scaled back or on hold. When Cleveland had the FEB, Euclid corridor, Stark's Pescht project, etc all going on at the same time. It was like a little high every time we got a new morsel of information....

Is there anything else to do in Mansfield besides get drunk and pop pills, because it seems to be a common trait among everybody that I know from there ( well that and they seem to smoke a lot of weed). Although the same can be said for a lot of the people from my home town...

Social media poll (twitter, facebook, etc.)
Really? No internet down there in Medina? (hahaha, you didn't say the bashing had to be limited to the suburbs thread) What's funny is my in-laws have had facebook for about 3 years now because one of the guys in their development is a big tech/gadget guy. So as soon as Facebook was open to the public he them all signed up. At one point it was all of their golf buddies and their teenage kids. I have had one since it started because I still had access to my university e-mail after I graduated (Thanks OU!) but really only started using it in the last 18 months. It is good to see pictures of people and the their kids/dog/goldfish. The over 30 crowd really doesn't post to many incriminating pictures. My mom signed up last year and now my dad just started an account because his company now has a page.

Burning River Roller Girls (Cleveland)
Ah so you got to see the musical chairs..... Seriously though this is all DIY the girls on the teams run everything and have committee positions besides skating. The league is owned by the skaters, there is no financial help besides the few sponsors that they have. So they depend on league dues and the fans to buy tickets and merchandise to keep them going.
