  1. The new lane restrictions are just awful for NB traffic.
  2. Not sure if this has been asked or answered but is that lighter green grass FieldTurf/artificail?
  3. Over/under on how long it sits vacant? Conversion to parking doesn't count.
  4. Hopefully they power wash the building.
  5. That seems to be what this is all about...
  6. If this thing comes to reality, it will be a tragedy. Is that too strong?
  7. The pic of Marilyn Monroe at thew beginning and the music that sounds like it should be in a commercial for kids jungle gyms.
  8. Yes. Love this stuff. Thanks for posting!

Not sure about you all but I have never been more apathetic about the Olympics.
  10. Seems outdated because at the end it talks like the IRS hasn't been acquired yet. I like the idea of an observation tower, but we saw this act 20+ years ago in Newport. Interesting there is a people mover included with a loop to Cincy and NP. The high-rise designs are attractive for their glass construction but those vast plazas and setbacks are horribly suburban. There's more: And:
  11. Who thinks we get 4 new towers out of all this? 🤪
  12. I like hearing you say that because I consider you an insider. I was musing as I looked at the tower crane this morning that there is a scenario where they leave the demo crane in place and it becomes a construction crane.
  13. Weaver Alley...I know a lot of where these alleys are but this one stumped me. Looked it up and would have never guessed it is where it located.
  14. Good to see progress but Fountain Place will always be a third place trophy to failure for that parcel of land. It should have been one of downtown's show-piece towers. Sorry for the negativity.

Cicadas: I feel like I have seen them swarm the Cleveland pear cultivars. I wonder if there is some sort of preference for them? Ants: The Terro bait traps work wonders. Snakes and spiders that aren't in your house? Leave them alone!
  16. CWB will be swamped the day after it happens. This is so dumb/ridiculous. Close an entrance ramp at each end, add a Texas turnaround, restripe some lanes, and we are done.
  17. This becoming FSW Part 2 is a forgone conclusion. Expect something to break ground in 2027.

Go drive I-71 through mid-town Cincinnati. They are littering the emergency lanes and in some cases the carcasses are building up in huge piles. Nasty!
  19. Safran employs about 300 in Walton, KY

Before the cicada emergence, I found two dead Robins in my yard. Not typical. Think there is 5G connection?

I had heard on the radio last week that June 6-12 would be peak population. And yes, they have been boisterous this week!
  22. Saw some guy on a lift this morning. He was working on the sign facing 71. Perhaps there is some external branding imminent.
  23. I'll have to go see it. But from the pictures, I'm not sure what they spent $100 million on. ???
  24. I wholeheartedly agree with you but painting or mural-ing a building doesn't compare to what you are talking about. Thinking "The Chong" vs. Artworks or the erstwhile "Urban Walls" from the 1960s as a comparison. It's a little harebrained, I admit, and cleaning+windows is really all it needs.
  25. Yeah. I'm not a professional like you guys are but GAT has grown on me over the years. Again, not a professional but I thought the proportions of it were off a the outset. It's gotten more pleasing to the eye as time has gone. Same for the tiara. Although the weak narrative of connecting it to the Queen City theme was just to forced IMHO. Sort of like my theory about the gap in GABP. It's been sold as an edgy design feature to connect downtown and get the fans closer to the action but I've always thought the real reason is that a conventional grandstand design wouldn't have fit at the "Wedge" site. They had to do something to get baseball on the riverfront and not Broadway Commons, which was a no-brianer. But I digress. #conspiracy
