Favorite Music At The Moment?
You guys will think I’m a loser but anybody ever heard of Phutureprimitve? Or like that music for that matter?

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
The streetcar hate brigade was out in full force yesterday on AM radio. It would not surprise me if there are people on a payroll that bubble to the surface whenever possible. It’s like the “Thanks, Obama” meme. “Oh darn! My cereal is soggy! Thanks, Cincy streetcar!” It’s almost like the narrative yesterday was to deflect attention from the failure to even make the first cut on AMZ HQ2 to the streetcar and even blame the streetcar for it. The discussion should be centered around the administration’s obvious lack of support for the system.

Cincinnati/NKY International Airport
It’s too far out and hard to get to from established west side neighborhoods. I275 should have never been built all the way to Indiana. It should have gone through Ohio just west of Bridgetown. It’s kind of ridiculous to call us the “Tri-State”- Indiana just over the border is a rural area, is proud of it and would like to stay that way. And there’s nothing wrong with that. A bridge right at the airport could be a Brent Spence alternative and serve the city neighborhoods and close in suburbs. I agree with all your general points but 50k+ Dearborn Countians disagree re: 275 routing. There is a heavy commuting pattern into Cincinnati from that node of 275.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fourth & Race (Pogue Garage) Redevelopment
That second paragraph is certainly a dark indictment of the city leadership at this point. I think Cincy has a rather happening downtown but reading that and a recent trip to Indy puts the situation in perspective.

Cincinnati: Historic Photos
It was labeled Kenner because Kenner Toys (Star Wars) occupied the 10-12th floors in the building at that time.

Yep. I don’t have much hope. I think we are in the outside looking in. MLS has no credibility at this point re: franchise awarding.

Cincinnati: Macy's
I think it’s only a matter of time. The question is, what is the current admin doing to avoid an empty lot at 4/Race being compounded by an empty store at 5/Vine?

Cincinnati: Terrace Plaza Hotel - December 2017
Noticed that too. Was like ???

Cincinnati: West End: TQL Stadium
It’s fairly clear to me that this Plan B as it’s called, is already a done deal behind closed doors. This announcement today does everything to allow the commissioners to uphold the appearance of drawing a hard line against County taxes going into this so that they look good to voters. FCC is playing right along by firing back that we won’t get the franchise. Give it a couple weeks and they will have worked out the Plan B.

Cincinnati: State of Downtown
Better yet, this building really is my favorite around Fountain Square. It will add so much to have this building activated.

Cincinnati: I-71 Improvements / Uptown Access Project (MLK Interchange)
Probably because they blew through the budgeted plan and didn't finish on time either. Where's the pearl-clutching like we had with the streetcar?

A college basketball bribery scandal leads to arrests of 10 people
Seems like Nike will also be pulled into this since they are the other apparel company that was being outbid. College BB is effed. This is going to ensnare about every P5 team before it's all said and done.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
The worst thing is that my Google Alerts digest was filled with the basically the same headline that the streetcar is missing its numbers as it approaches the one-year anniversary. It looks like that is because the AP picked up the story and then local affiliates republished. This makes me want to believe that someone put together a press release, assuming they didn't pull the content from the BizCourier article (which I have not read in full).

Cincinnati: Downtown: Encore
FYI...this is an ampersand:  This turned out very handsome. I like what it has added to the skyline.

Cincinnati: Downtown: 1010 On The Rhine / Downtown Kroger
Interesting. Looks like an old basement. You can still see the walls. Too cool.

Cincinnati: Interstate 75
Yep. S the one on the west side of the trench is staying? It looks almost completely dilapidated.

Off Topic
Put it this way. I heard an expert talking this AM, he made the point that in Cincy the eclipse was going to be about 90%. With just 10% of the sun showing it still is 100,000 times more light and energy reaching that spot on the earth than the part that is under totality. That being said, I thought it was noticeably darker, yet not dark.

Rabbit Hash replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Architecture, Environmental, and PreservationGrabbed this shot while I was in the building at the corner of Plum and Perry. This is the building at 313 W 5th...I think.

Cincinnati: I-71 Improvements / Uptown Access Project (MLK Interchange)
The ramp from KY18 to SB 71/75 is quite long as well.

Cincinnati: I-71 Improvements / Uptown Access Project (MLK Interchange)
All of those unused surface lots! After a drive through Nashville the past week I was thinking if we could just activate some demand, we could have an entirely new skyline if we just filled in these spots. I know it's OT here and lamented elsewhere but just wanted to sound off.

A guy I knew at the time was one of the stunt guys. He did the stunt where he goes under the front bumper of the car. I never heard anything about TH being in it.
