  1. The Crancelator is squirming.
  2. I'm geeked about that. I think it would be great for TB and it could set some other things in motion as well. Edit: My guess is that we would get an architecturally significant building if UC decides that they should take the same approach as they have on their Uptown campuses.
  3. I should know this but the Sign Museum moved to Camp Washington, right? A move to OTR/CBD would have been better.
  4. Just proportionately? Or by volume? Because losing basically the entire West End to Kenyon-Barr, Laurel-Richmond, Liberty-Dalton renewal was a footprint I'd be surprised to see matched. But then again I don't know much about the bulldozing of those cities. OT: Does anybody know where the rubble from all those projects ended up?
  5. John, which is funny because Kroger didn't own the building until like 1979 or something like that. It was reskinned in 1981 so that should tell you that they knew it as well, even in the early/mid-70s when Boulton was in Cincy. They knew that it was a valid source of public derision. Sour grapes if they withheld contributions for that. Still funny.
  6. I think we'd all be happy if this building would have been an office version of The 800 Apartments in Louisville. Maybe?
  7. I'm definitely in the minority then on the Kroger building. The building was long identified as an architectural failure and an embarrassment to downtown. The gaudy blue and the shades created a look of chaos. And that weird box on top that throws off the symmetry? I think it looks better today. Much more distinguished. From what I understand, it was reskinned due to both aesthetic and energy saving reasons after a study. It took a couple years and was supposed to cut the energy consumption of the building by 30%. Here are some pics. Credit: Cincinnati Enquirer.
  8. I think I see the old Cabooze and Miss Kitty's.
  9. Pat and Mike are great guys but certainly aren't spokesmen on the subject like John.
  10. Wow. Somebody probably will lose their job over that, no?

It's like a car accident for me. Though, the recent Elvis concert posts may have pushed me over the edge.
  13. He's childish in this exchange. Not focused on business, just blame. Eff politicians.
  14. Then I trust you know how to tackle better than anyone on this forum let alone me. Is my description of technique correct? Does it look like Shazier's eyes are to the sky? I'm not sure what Shazier was "trying" to do in this case has to do with it being a penalty or not.
  15. What? Ever played the game before? Cripes, I can't believe someone can't see that this is a spear. Helmet to helmet is not even the issue. Proper tackling means he has his head up as if his eyes are to the sky before he shoots with his target being Gio's hips. His head should finish across his body, which it does, but only after Shazier clearly lowered his head. You can see the bottom of his mask below his chest. Burfict's "hit" is less egregious in my view because he used a shoulder, albeit illegally according to the rules. I believe Taz checked up. He was certainly cocked and loaded for more of a pill than he delivered.
  16. 3 teams want LA. Talk of Bengals relo is not rooted in reality. Attendance is not as important as everybody thinks now that the blackout rule is further relaxed.
  17. I'll be curious how snow removal goes when we have a 25 year event.
  18. If they keep playing at the level they have, and have poor attendance, yes it could. If they keep playing at the level they have, and have poor attendance, yes it could. And where, pray tell, would they go?
  19. Maybe we should update this to 2025?

Think about how many Camaros and Firebirds were in that parking lot. Now the only ads I get when I watch metal videos are for minivans. I find myself wasting time ever so often watching the US Festival from 1983...now THAT is a time capsule.
  21. I think one is planned in NKY for the Richwood exit in 71/75.
  22. My sense is that it is too redundant to what is already out there or in the funnel. The Banks needs more residents and daytime workers...bottom line. Besides that is the issue of why the Mayor is proposing this. Could anyone shed light on this in a "follow the money" sort of way?
