NFL: General News & Discussion
Well the economics for stadium investment are out and they're not flattering. Wouldn't it be a real kick to have three poorly run NFL teams in L.A. (Los Apathy)? They just want the TV market.

I-5 (FWW) is on the wrong side of the river, but yeah, it's pretty close. Wild.

Mulberry Street - Rehab in OTR
Congrats. This is completely awesome!

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
Flip flop NE/DEN and PIT/KC and it was right.

Cincinnati: Brent Spence Bridge
I'm still calling for a cancellation of this project because it's completely unnecessary and does nothing to solve the problem. I really hope the anti-toll group draws this out until it dies. Problem is, those same groups advocate for the Eastern Boondoggle-pass.

Cincinnati: Brent Spence Bridge
If this were a rail project, people would call for cancelling just because of this lack of progress.

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
Yep. So much for my theory above that PIT would win out. Good for the Bengals. TCB the last two games and the 2 seed is a wrap with a shot at the 1 depending on NE.

Would it be an option for NKY to build a standalone system with future river crossing in mind? Piecemeal approach, in other words.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fourth & Race (Pogue Garage) Redevelopment
Some glimmer of light on this project. Is F&C still on board? Does anybody know?

Cincinnati: Downtown: Encore
Ask and ye shall... Hard to gauge but that is pretty tall. I suppose they won't jack it up and add anymore sections...that is the full height.

We need a pic of that crane, man!

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
Rabbit Hash replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionIn my ideal world, these visitors (both noobs and repeat) are well informed/trained to park in the CBD and Banks and use the streetcar to enjoy both nodes and everything in between.

Agreed. I just really like what you wrote there: "starter-urbanism".

Cincinnati: Interstate 75
Ergo, ~10% of all drivers are delivering pizzas. Wait...I'm bad with numbers.

Which really capsulizes some of the earlier discussion on neighborhood branding.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
While I tend to agree with you thebillshark, it can quickly become a slippery slope. For instance, I would advocate that having a building on our riverfront with a GE logo plastered on top raises the profile of the city in the public's mind. But where do you draw the line on objectivity?

Cincinnati Reds Discussion
Man. I know it has to happen but BP has to be one of the all-time faves.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
The same way he is not accounting for the streetcar ops. However, the streetcar ops will get 1000% of the blame/attention while only constituting a fraction of the effect. Wouldn't it be nice to have a mayor who realized that this makes us the envy of peer cities and promoted it accordingly?

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
I am very confident that McCarron will step in and not let fans down. The playoffs are basically guaranteed. Cincinnati clinches a playoff spot with: 1) CIN win OR 2) NYJ loss OR 3) KC loss OR 4) CIN tie + KC tie OR 5) CIN tie + NYJ tie They will want the BYE even more with the Dalton injury. DEN probably loses @ PIT this weekend giving CIN the lead for the 2 seed. CIN @ DEN will be for the BYE as both have winnable games at home in Week 17. KC and NYJ /should/ win this weekend and keep PIT on the outside looking in. <fingers crossed> Problem is, PIT will win out with their schedule and get to 11-5. They will probably take NYJ place. KC should hold serve. I'm predicting: 1. NE 2. DEN 3. CIN 4. HOU 5. PIT 6. KC

^I had that exact thought. That the afternoon/evening sun would wash them out. I thought they were going to be outside...a dumb assumption in hindsight. Now I see they have them behind glass. They will bake!

Cincinnati: Downtown: 84.51°
I wonder what will happen to that building. Level it for a parking lot? I don't know. Is it worth saving in that location?
-
Cincinnati: Farmer Music Center / Riverbend
It all looks amateurish. How do they expect to build any buzz over this?

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
I know what you guys are talking about. It's mob mentality. It's boorish.
