Cincinnati: Crime & Safety Discussion
Well, They dug into the lyrics of the act scheduled for this weekend and they found: references to violence.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Cunningham seemed completely surprised yesterday when he was talking about the Government Square incident. He pointed out that not only will we have rails in the streets but we will have overhead wires along the complete length. In his words, it will be "an architectural disaster."

Cincinnati: Downtown: Smale Riverfront Park
^The Great Lawn was open this weekend. It's quite vast. They do have the "beach" still roped off at last visit. The grass is still trying to take root.

Cincinnati: Crime & Safety Discussion
^What a dumb reaction. The radio hosts today found whatever tangent they could to blame this on the streetcar.
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
What a horrible bottleneck there. TKILTBAGs area seems like it's always underutilized anyway. And the streetcar stop shows obvious signs of being a heaving bowl for exiting bar jockeys.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
This is not a seating area. It is a barrier from the street.

Cincinnati: Evolution and Changing Perceptions of Urban Neighborhoods
^No doubt. I cannot believe the topics started on my neighborhood FB page. People will literally ask stupid questions like "is it supposed to rain today?" or "did anyone hear that loud boom?" (It's thunder, idiot.)

Cincinnati: Crime & Safety Discussion
Not to mention LW will have a field day with this on the call in shows.

Yep. Race relations are headed into the sewer again.

Cincinnati: Crime & Safety Discussion
Sorry in advance for an emotional rant. I'm not an alarmist and I agree the media are pandering POS's but the fact is that there is an element of crime running loose in high profile areas of our city. The police need to draw some lines in the sand. The city has way too much momentum and is attracting way too many "samplers" to let a small group sabotage it.

No way! You think the AC will be finished by then? When is the start date?
-
Cincinnati Enquirer
I like that his Twitter handle is @OhioRAG. His middle initial must be "A" but the term "Rag" sure does sum up his new employer. Ha! Who's asleep at the wheel there? No way anyone with an association with a media pub should have that associated with them. It's a ready-made punchline and I can't believe nobody caught that.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
I'm almost certain there are but I think they are not as stringent as the blocks to the south and to the west. I seem to recall that interested parties had stricter height restrictions written in for west of Vine. Making this up???

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Nice. Didn't realize it was that tall.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
^There should be an announcement soon but I don't know anything for sure. I also found it amusing the use the phrase "break ground" on these pedestal projects. I would assume the spec tower will be just as tall, if not a bit taller. Who knows? I also noticed this weekend that they have made significant progress with the glass skin hardware and have started putting in the glass on the ground floor of the GE building.

Cincinnati: Bars / Nightlife News
God's honest truth. I almost got one on a riding lawnmower way back in the day. They could have done it but took pity on me for some reason since I deserved it.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Seven at Broadway
Over 11 years later. I don't even want to admit to everything that has happened in my life since.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
For skyline enthusiasts, I think we can be pretty happy with what we see here. Once we get the spec tower and the hotel we'll see some pretty good addition to the skyline.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Geez! My third grader could have written it better. It's funny how mad they are because their check didn't clear on his vote.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
All this language about how SORTA has to run it based on how much the city gives them to run it. I suppose this means he will try to pull funding. Can he?
