Cincinnati: Historic Photos
I assume photos would include moving pictures. I stumbled across this YT post. It is a WLWT news cast from September 1988. At about 1:45 Pat Barry shows a pic and makes mention of a future project. You'll be stunned. http://youtu.be/fWdtd3c6WHQ

Cincinnati: Clifton: Development and News
I have to respectfully disagree with those who think the campus is bad. I'm no professional but I have been a "user" for years. The easiest argument I can make is to remember what the campus looked and felt like in say, 1992. It has been completely transformed for the better I almost every area. It seems by nature of the topography that the campus was define to feel segmented.

NCAA Men's Basketball: General News & Discussion
No. They were both ranked in the top three preseason. The fact the committee seeded them both ridiculously low shouldn't cloud the fact that they are both prime candidates.

University of Cincinnati Bearcats Basketball Discussion
^Kyle, I knew that would draw a reaction. Ha! You leave out that most of our sorry conference is low major. You know I'm a big Cards fan so I couldn't keep that little blurb completely objective. Attendance smack is an easy weapon for Cards fans and UC has been an easy target the past several years...sadly. I like Mick and wish he got more support. UC is my second fave and alma mater. I've always sung Mick's praises even when people called me crazy. Mick does well against Pitino because they are cut from a similar cloth. Defense first. Fit athletes. Scouting report junkies. Any thoughts on my non-attendance analysis? What's your prognostication?

University of Cincinnati Bearcats Basketball Discussion
How they stack up: On offense, Louisville ranks an impressive 9th. UC checks in at an even more impressive 7th. This will be a defensive standoff and points will be at a premium. However, on offense, Louisville is 12th and UC is 108th. Big edge to the Cards. Three teams rank in the Pomeroy's top 15 for both offense and defense: Florida, Syracuse, and...yes, Louisville. Good company to have. More on that offense: The Cards can score. Even though they are playing clearly over-matched opponents most nights, they own their largest MOV through 25 games in the history of the program. Sean Kilpatrick: A key to beating Louisville will be SK scoring 28 points and UC shooting 17-18 from the line again. Kirkpatrick was spectacular and the difference maker. Consider this as you reflect on his key free throws at the end of the last meeting, Louisville had three more field goals in that game. Turnovers: UC will also need to limit turnovers. Ville scored 26 points of 20 UC TO's. The Louisville press will be a factor as will UC's halfcourt D, which was stifling last meeting. Rebounds: Louisville will be focused on not getting destroyed on the boards as in the first meeting. Jackson, Thomas and Rubles will give Harrell, Van Treese and Mathiang trouble again. This Cards will need rebounding effort our of Rozier and Blackshear to matchup. Momentum: Cincinnati cannot...CANNOT let Louisville go on runs of 14-0 and 19-8. UC fans won't come to watch their own team but they do like to see the defending champs in the house. They'll be loud and the Bearcats can feed off the great energy. Key Wildcard Stats: Louisville 16 assists. Prediction: Pitino teams seems to develop a chemistry circa Valentine's Day. The Cardinals pull the road upset and earn a signature win. Louisville 65 UC 59

^There's no maybe to that. If it were reno'd then I'd say it would definitely win a bid. Cincy is soooo central to a ton of great programs. More so than any city, really. It would draw really well.

Maybe some perspective here... In the last 15 or so years, Louisville has upgraded their facilities for the two major revenue sports. While playing in old Cardinal Stadium was certainly nostalgic, playing in PJCS kills any inclination of pining for the old days of sitting on metal bleachers, in a retrofitted baseball stadium. I attended the last game in Freedom Hall. It stands as an equal to Wrigley and Fenway in it's (CBB) lore. The Cardinals played there for 54 years and it has hosted 6 Final Fours. While I was sad to see it go, attending games at the YUM! has the same affect as PJCS. Nobody misses it. Good memories. But nobody misses it. So charming to me is something that is overrated. The new places just have too many amenities. For USBA, I think a Freedom Hall style make over would be best if it could work. In 1984, they lowered the floor 10-15 feet and added in suites between a new two-tiered grandstand (it was previously just one). Capacity went from 16k+ to just under 20k. Is this possible? What's under it? One consideration is the huge end zones for hockey and whether the current configuration is best for both. YUM! solves this by pushing the hockey closer to one end. Edited for typo.
