So is a phosphate just another name for a soda?

Cincinnati: Brent Spence Bridge
It's the fine line between functional and structurally deficient. Which I'm sure we all understand or has been covered here. The Roebling is an example of structurally deficient.

Anyone appointed by Cranley will be a puppet. And so we can essentially file any firing and reappointment by Cranley as one of his (surely many) actions to make streetcar success as tough as possible. No?

This thread has taken an odd twist. Entertaining. But odd.

Cincinnati: Historic Photos
There is a book with an exhaustive recap of the events and motivations leading up to the leveling of the West End. It's called Contested Ground. It's basically a microcosm of the complex and symbiotic national approach to development and transpo post-war.

As long as they keep that crunchy ice like Whitey Castille's has. If they do away with that? I am writing a LTE.

Cincinnati: Mayor John Cranley
Yep. Reading from a script was the cherry. And bigger picture I'm just not sure what drove that appearance. I'd like to have heard how that convo went and who was involved.

No. What's worse is that he completely gets it. He just "opined" himself into a corner and only halfway owns it in his mea culpa. Everything he says supports the project being a good investment. But still asserts his underlying conclusion.

Cincinnati: Mayor John Cranley
Painful to watch. Shows you that this guy has one switch and it is stuck on "politician". He can't even conjure up playfulness or a sense of humor. I bought tickets. $86 a piece! We're sending Gold Star. At my expense, not taxpayer expense. I can see the spin now - John Cranley: Protecting the city pension. Or: No police/fire eliminated in Mayor bet. Cranley: Good steward of city gambling fund.

Spur to TS Bridge. To Newport with E-W alignment from Dayton to Covy. Make it happen Southbank! I can see a trans-river system creating huge ridership.

Now that the issue has been decided we are seeing that the huddle has broken and the 'Warp is lining up for it's next play from scrimmage. Hyper analysis of progress, budgets and crime stats within 3 blocks of the lines. The play is called "Righty 81 suburbanite draw". Meanwhile, MLK will be ignored until it opens and will be hailed. You watch.

My perception after actually watching video of his presser was that it caused him literal physical pain to concede. His expression and tone were of genuine disgust. That, or he is a skillful actor. Calling it graceful is generous. Albeit, the project will need his continued support.

Chris Wetterich @ChrisCinciBiz 15m The identity of a future speaker has aroused the media's interest: Willie Carden. http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20131207/NEWS010801/312060122/Carden-withdraws-Cranley-bummed-out- I thought I saw that he tweeted that it was actually a guy named Willie Carter.

To our accountants in the group: Sunk costs are never considered, correct? Not even sure why I'm asking. We know how this is going to go. We need Flynn and Mann to have an epiphany.

I agree. All this interpretation is bad. If we are looking for a quick conclusion to what the analysis says, is it safe to just say it confirmed Deatrick's numbers? If so, then that's $250k down the drain. Mayor/Sheriff Will Teasle is a real genius. Harvard must be proud.

No matter what the audit says, Cranley will manufacture an either/or straw man.
