Did I hear the Saudis are courting this tourney?

Dear Lord. Just put an old iPhone on the train with the bluetooth turned on and figure out how to track it. I can watch my kids move around town live...how hard can it be? LOL.

Say what you want about Nash, but I'd love to see some of this action in Cincinnati. Our skyline looks like a relic next to Nash...OUR beloved relic, but a relic. /rant

Yeah...good thoughts. My rationale with Saratoga was that a rail line used to run down the median until the 1980s. I'm just nostalgic for that to happen again.

He also mentioned that he has been in talks to relocate a F500 company to Cincinnati. Barrett is a frustrating interviewee to listen to. I know the deals he works on are so complex, but he is overly cryptic at times, IMHO.

In Newport, why not follow 3rd and then down Saratoga?

Love it! Thanks. What is everyone's thoughts on using 3rd Street and then down Saratoga in Newport? Plenty of open ROW on those streets.

Last thing I remember being in there was a Frisch's. This nugget in the article: "3CDC expects the 800-room convention center hotel to break ground at the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025."

Covington, KY: Central Riverfront (IRS) Development
My first thought was to pile on the "lack of progress" at The Banks. And, while I think you can criticize that The Banks is not fully built out more than 25 years after it was started, there's a lot there that is completed.

Cincinnati: University of Cincinnati: Development and News
Rabbit Hash replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionFrom the article: "Construction is expected to begin August 2024." So, sound like it's moving forward. Completion not until 2027, it says, though. That probably means phases and that the project will be downsized in true Cincinnati fashion.

Rabbit Hash replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionI think the reduced status of that company has a lot to do with Matt Remke's battle and ultimate death from cancer and then the sale of the company to Fresh Markets or whatever it's called. Only 5 locations left. But yeah, they were likely doomed anyway in Hebron with the Marketplace opening.

I also seem to remember a residential tower at 3rd & Broadway as well. If only Barrett would go on a building spree, that corner of the CBD would fill up the skyline.

Rabbit Hash replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionI can confirm this will be Publix. The service station at the NW corner of Graves and Worldwide was pitched as more of a truck stop type facility. You can see the diesel lanes. That part was rejected. The outlets occupants have not been determined yet, so anything on those we are left to speculate.

O/U on this happening before convention hotel? While we are dreaming, it sounds like the places for skyscraper/high-rise to add to the skyline would be: 5th & Plum (Convention Hotel) 5th & Broadway (JW) 5th & Lawrence (WS HQ) I assume all of these would be 300'+

Rabbit Hash replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionYeah, I goog'd their typical square footage and it's low. The nearest McD's is at North Bend Road and Petersburg Road very nearby. So, I'm not sure on that one either. Could be that the outlet configs are generic or are drawn to make a case in hopes they attract.

Northern Kentucky: Random Development and News
Rabbit Hash replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionYeah. That one at the NW corner of Gateway and Graves looks to me like the layout for the new model of super-UDF's that have been cropping up but I can't make sense of those drive-through stalls. Could be a Sheets? I'm also seeing at Starbucks or Dunkin'. Figured there would be a Chick-fil-A but none of the buildings have the look. I was hoping for a Chipelto, but figured they had left the market after their The Banks location fell through.

It is fascinating when you pause to think about it. All of the sudden that structure is approaching 40 years old.

Rabbit Hash replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionAll indications point that there will be a (as of yet unannounced) Publix built in Hebron adjacent to the new Graves Road (KY495) exit in a 52 acre development called Hebron Pointe. Same developer, architect that has handle several other Publix projects. Can any of our UO sleuths venture a guess on the outlets occupants based on footprints and lot sizes?
