Cincinnati: Downtown: Fourth & Race (Pogue Garage) Redevelopment
True, but 312 Elm, 312 Plum, 311 Elm renovation, 302 W Third Neyer renovation, Delta call center on W. 7th, Greenwich, Grammercy, Groton, etc/ well within that span. Didn't forget about those. But I would contend none are as high on the physical or prestige scale that most all of East of Walnut projects were/are. Except for maybe 312 Elm.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fourth & Race (Pogue Garage) Redevelopment
Mine is an estimation of an estimation. I used NP as a reference at 370 feet. It looks like the two drawings are taller than my PS job.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fourth & Race (Pogue Garage) Redevelopment
Think about the sea-change of construction this (and DH) represents. For the better part of thirty years, all/most new construction has been on the Eastern end of the CBD. Between Race and Walnut = The old core. East of Walnut = The new core. West of Race = We'll see... Heck, build a 30 story res tower where the spinning clock is and a 30 story biz tower on the horrible Plum and Fourth lot and this city starts to get some pretty broad shoulders.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fourth & Race (Pogue Garage) Redevelopment
Yep. That's the only one I've done above. I like those others and I think they contradict my assertion in my blog post that the effect will be minimal on the skyline. Would you (or jmicha) or whomever the artist is give permission for me to add those to the blog post? With attribution of course. We have some wonderful talent here on U/O.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
There are a lot of worthwhile destinations in Newport, Covington, and Bellevue, and there is some really high quality historic housing stock as well. That has nothing to do with the Southbank Shuttle, but the potshots at NKY are not necessary or accurate. Thank you. NoKY is a great complement to Cincy. If you have a problem with it then we can transplant East St. Louis or Clarksville, Indiana. EDIT: I posted before I read your clarifying post. We are on the same page. Good question about streetcar on Roebling. Would that be an option? I seem to remember CWB as being the preferred crossing.

ODOT Policy Discussion
With all due respect to the people there, Scioto County has all the charm of Soviet era Russia. Building the steel mills there would have been apropos. Too bad they are getting our streetcar money.

Cincinnati Reds Discussion
Really? They led the division at one point and were never more than some 7 games out. I never lost faith. ;) The schedule has helped.

Demolish the Millennium. Build at The Banks. Plus a JW on Plum. ;)

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
I can't fathom (and I am being objective as possible) a universe where backing out of this project after the November election will be a positive. from the sound of it, there will be as much a financial expenditure to cancel as to build.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
Rabbit Hash replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionStill listening for the downside of this. I never go to Subway but it certainly has a place in the decision set for most people. I think we read this as part of an overall rise in demand for choice in the core but outside of the CBD.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Jake, people confuse his ownership prowess with his management ability. Excellent negotiator. Good at hitting a bottom line. His core mistake had been not maintaining an agency relationship between ownership and management. Now that he has loosened the grip and let football people make the football decisions, the on field results have started to arc upward. Sorry. Back on topic.

Oh, it's been around for a while. Just ask anyone who lived in the West End during the 1950 and 60's.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Did know that much history about it. I figured it was relevant to NURFC but also felt that it's a little trite and Amurrican as you say. Wasn't PRW Second Street? Remember the odd old streets on the riverfront: Bengal Drive, Produce Drive? I'd go for First Street too. Mehring Way is named after a police officer, correct? I'd be for going back to Front and making Mehring honorary. Renaming streets seems anti-preservation to me in just about any form.
