  1. Not to be uncouth but Delta can suck it.

Simply awesome. Thanks for caring for our city!
  3. Off the top of my head, I would vote for all large festivals to be moved to the Central Riverfront. Make Mehring Way the vendor midway. Wide and lengthy enough and conveniently south of the parks. Now that I think, it could cause problems on game day...or it could be incredible.
  4. I think I see at least one Peej and a Range Rollover.
  5. ^To your point (and I'd love to hear the professional opinions on the board since mine is decidedly not) it seemed to me the riverfront option was even less conducive but it served to drive other projects. The original FWW precluded any building of GABP where it sits and building it in the same footprint of Riverfront/Cinergy was not an option. The realignment of FWW was on and I wonder if the two were symbiotic/dependent in a political will sense. Even the realignment didn't make enough room. I have always thought that "the Gap" was a marketing ploy to cover structural/space restraints. Sold as a unique feature of the stadium when really it was necessitated by the tight quarters. "It's not "the wedge" site it's "Baseball on Main" A way to architecturally move the left grandstand closer to the field and fit the park in. Thoughts?
  6. Colerain Avenue. ;)

    That was positively thrilling!

I grow pachysandra and I'm not sure it would be the best bet for a larger area. Intend to use it in transitional areas or in tree beds. I've seen it do best in areas that don't get too much sun. Plus it can get 6-8" tall. Periwinkle maybe?
  9. Made my first visit to MLH yesterday. 5*. Also was nice to see how active it was in the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday. On the planters: The Federal Reserve has some that I would think would work well that are along Main.
  10. ^But it has so much potential, right? A demo here would be a huge loss - all things being equal.
  11. Nice. Bill and I were HS classmates and we keep in touch on FB. Thanks for posting. Hey, Bill!
  12. Yummy. Keep them coming!
  13. Saw this one below the others and I think you can see some examples here of police giving directions in a stern but professional manner and citizens complying. You also see people expressing their opinions and the police not reacting professionally. I mean, why even reply to a guy who is accusing you of being like Nazi-Germany?
  14. Thanks! Love the updates.
  15. Second picture reminds me of CAC a bit.
  16. ^Does that make sense in light of the floor plate size they want?

evd: I am laughing because I was in NYC this past weekend and didn't realize ahead of time this was going on. I noticed the event later as I was making my way through Midtown. In fact, the guy with the cart in Pic#4, I specifically remember seeing earlier in the day on Madison at 35 (?) as I was walking to the ESB. Small world!

  19. A successful concept looking to expand into other markets? How dare they? Name recognition is good and I don't think they are even close to watering down the brand with a handful of locations. I will say Bentonville and Lex are head-scratchers. (Lex less so.) I would have thought the next step would be Nashville, Savannah or Charleston. Don't ask me why. And there's no need for a dick-off between Cincy and Lex. We all know both cities are awesome in their own right and are completely different in so many ways. In fact Lexington would be totally cool if one didn't have to deal with all the UK t-shirts in your face ad nauseum. Seriously, do people have anything other than that in their closets?
  20. Did you try the upstairs of the Lager House? That wasn't it. I walked in the LH and decided things were a little inappropriate for 6 and 3 yr. Didn't wanna look like "that parent." Anywho, are you saying upstairs is an option in the future? We've dined there with our 1.5 year old, so I'm not sure what you mean by "that parent." They have a kid's menu, high chairs, and changing tables in the restrooms. Don't take offense. It was St. Pats Day and it was crazy in there. I didn't even want to bother to ask if we could be seated. Again, I've not been yet so I wouldn't have known of the set for little ones unless you just mentioned it. I think you know what I mean by "that parent" but it sounds like with the right timing the LH wouldn't make me uncomfortable at all. St. Patty's Day wasn't the right timing. Thanks for the heads up in the kids menu though!

Anywho, are you saying upstairs is an option in the future? As far as In Between, I think they will see a drop but don't think they will be a casualty b/c of overflow. Cincinnatians are now in a process of being retrained to think about food/drink options within crawling distance of the stadia gates. More people will catch on and you have a larger percentage of the crowd coming early/staying late to spread around. Ain't it great?!
  22. My vote for Kansas is wishful thinking. Lexington will burn either way. Stay classy, Wildcayuts.
  23. I think there has been some discussion of the "family visit" to The Banks. I tried to take the wife and keeds for something to eat after the St. Pat's festivities and our outcome was a half-full belly and a completely empty wallet. Names withheld to protect the guilty. The first chain, local or otherwise that locates there that is family friendly even on special event days will be in high demand. Thoughts?
  24. Yucatan Liquor Stand.
  25. Correct color choice, but for the wrong reason. Kentucky's the Bluegrass State. No need to drag UK or the brown Ohio River into it. :-D This Louisville fan thanks you.
