  1. That aerial photo reminds me of how much of a behemoth this place was/is.
  2. This part stuck out to me: "The city of Covington is acting as master developer on the buildout of the Central Riverfront site, intending to replicate the human-scaled development of the rest of the city – and to give smaller Covington-based developers a point of entry – rather than resorting to vast mega-blocks such as what occupies the Banks across the Ohio River in downtown Cincinnati."
  3. Yep. It's a great opportunity. I'll say this, I really like the classic look of the richly amber Carew Tower behind the stark white Central Trust.
  4. Fascinating. For all the handwringing about I75 and the Spence, it looks like I65 is busier. I wonder how a connected I74 would change things...

Years ago, I was forcefully corrected when I called in "Lan-CAST-er." As in fan or man. Have made sure I said "LANK-i-stir" or "LANG-stir" as Dad of @GCrites pointed out, ever since.
  6. I have a meeting conflict. Wish I could be there!
  7. Same. This seems very prominent. Hey, we all love tall buildings but this seems worth the 20 year wait, in Cincinnati terms.
  8. Yep. Looks like 8 stories and 10 stories above the Calhoun Street level. The views will be nice, but I think a clear view of the downtown skyline might be obscured by Christ Hospital.
  9. Looks like the humans solved that!
  10. Same. I mean, why not. Something garish. The architectural lighting of our downtown is certainly not at a high point right now and is not adopting anything that is technologically interesting. We need a disruptor. LOL.
  11. Spring Break in DC recently. Used the Metro extensively. Very happy with how it helped my group of 5 get around town.
  12. This is the Chong development, right?
  13. The misogynist tendency in me hates to yield to the basketball purist in me. But the ladies' game has surpassed the mens' game in term of watching the game being played at a team level. Don't get me wrong UCONN is so well-coached, but the men are so big and athletic, that they can just over power the team aspect of the game.
  14. That's the thing. People buying these are living in Florida for 6-8 months out of the year.
  15. Went past the site today. NO TOWER CRANES LEFT. Is the project dying?
  16. Try to keep up! https://answersacademy.org/who-we-are
  17. Thus will begin the next 30 year cycle for the new Brent Spence Bridge Companion Companion. We will have fraternity of bridges for 71/75.
  18. A West Virginia or Kentucky grad, I presume? LOL.
  19. Ot, but the Florence Mall location is depressing.
  20. It was a quick convo, but I got the feeling that A and B would remain in their current state for the long foreseeable future, and that any expansion would happen like Concept 1-3 or PAL 4.
  21. Fast forward to 2030 and none of the stated complaints about BSB Corridor are solved. We can only hope the one net-positive from this is Bridge Forward reclaims the max amount of new land on the west end of downtown. Get ready for you 100' tall flyovers, NKY! The view from Devou will be the sides of ramps.
  22. I asked and the answer I was given is that none of those are immediate options at this point due to capacity for gates being at a level that will suffice pretty far into the future.
