What is the structure at the far left of the bottom picture?

Sears / Kmart News
Sears has viable brands that otherwise would have good loyalty - scratch that, wider appeal, if they were managed correctly. Craftsman, Kenmore. KMart, OTOH... Sears has great appeal in flyover country with appliances and hardlines. That should be their focus. Maybe get back the Martha Stewart line (that KM lost) for the wives. Anywho, their move is irrelevant until they fix these things.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
This poll is so unscientific it is sad. (What else do I expect from the hacks at WLWT?) But here goes at 8:50am An initiative to stop funding for the streetcar is closer to going before voters. Would you vote to stop funding? Again I always laugh at the people who aren't sure but bother to vote. Yes 570 34% No 1,105 65% Not sure 18 1%

Thanks for all the healthy debate. This thread has been the best ever in the last day or so.

Sears / Kmart News
The bright side is there is a ton of un(der)untilized infrastructure at CVG. They are doing their best out there by consolidating resources. At the end of the day, the airport is probably giving off a better impression since old terminals are being retired. I have to think that CVG is attractive to the next carrier looking to retool operations.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
I parked in the Banks garages for the first time the other night. I like how they have ID'd them by blocks. "baseball block" "football block", etc. Needless to say it's quite impressive to think what that area was 3, 5, 15 and 40 years ago! I wonder...when the garages are all said and done, how they will compare in size to old Riverfront's garage? Wasn't the scuttle on Riverfront that it had the largest parking garage in the USA? Sound false, but...

Favorite City Street Names?
Jeff, I didn't see you had Poplar Level in yours too. My understanding was that the Level became Poplar when they lined the road bed with nearby poplar trees. I think a similar thing was done in the Wet Woods on Preston too, right? The maligned Highland Park area has a special place in my heart for its mostly defunct street names. It was an Indian tribe theme: Huron Wampum Wawa Hiawatha Mohawk Saginaw Nevada Wabasso Ottawa Seneca Chicopee Sioux Dakota

^^And that is the namesake standing there on his bridge. BTW, I knew it has always been double-decked which is why I was aghast when I heard him say it over 50kw with conviction.

I agree. I think they are sliced bread. Crossovers are horrible.

Cincinnati: Pendleton: Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati
Source for your statistic? Gaming is not so ubiquitous that conventioneers and business travelers won't be drawn to it from their 5th Street accommodations. I think you are on to something there as far as a reality of casinos but I can also see it spurring development and traffic up Broadway and down Sycamore. Thoughts?

Cincinnati: Pendleton: Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati
I'm sure I broached this subject 15 pages ago and it is an important point you make but the positive side of that maybe the bookend effect of having this at BC and other services at FS and The Banks.

Newport, KY: SouthShore Condominiums

On another note, I was driving yesterday morning and Darryl Parks subject was the Spence. The amount of ignorance and missed facts was infuriating. Did anybody know that the Spence was originally a single-deck and the top deck was added later? OMG.

If they could cross what is happening with U and Kinect we could move closer to what Tom Cruise was doing in Minority Report.

So what. So he made fun of some stereotypes. I think he just peeved of the whiteys by saying they can't jump. I'm sure elldubya is just as he says it is. They suck. Next issue.

Sears / Kmart News
Although, I can see why Cincy would be an attractive market for a retail/CPG giant. the amount of talent and support infrastructure in this region for these type businesses is considerable on a global scale. EDIT: If they were smart they would talk to Boone County.
