  1. To attract the under 18 crowd, right? ;) Oh, the memories.
  2. And nobody has anything to say about money being spent on: "$27 million to continue design and engineering work on the new Brent Spence Bridge – carrying Interstate 71 and 75 traffic over the Ohio River;..." Besides, this little tidbit at the bottom seems to indicate that this TRAC funding can't be stopped by Kasich's grandstanding: "Because money for the TRAC-approved projects is tied to gasoline taxes and federal mandates, it is not jeopardized by debate over the state’s $51 billion general operations budget." Or am I mistaken?
  3. It's a valid point to raise. When you guys say an island, do you have an example. I am not as concerned that this would become said island with the more conservative timeline. After all, it will have residents with some great entertainment options.
  4. Intolerance? Here? You may find narrow-mindedness, bigotry and derangement syndrome in all of its free-floating manifestations (why, maybe even on this very thread). But never intolerance! How intolerant of you! lol We pride ourselves on bigotry and intolerance, thankyouverymuch. It's the American way since 1980! Dernit! I was all geared up fitna have a drag out which yous and y'all brangs me sarcasm. Thanks for the laugh.
  5. And thus we have the conundrum. Us forward thinkers are all for inclusion and tolerance until it involves Christians, southerners or those who have the audacity to interpret a holy book called the Bible in a way they see fit for themselves and invite others who are willing or curious to check it out. I understand the tax-payer dollars issue but some of these posts above are pretty transparent.
  6. ^Genius comparison in the opening. This, to me is the strongest statement in the piece: "Even if the city were to cancel the streetcar project tomorrow, we’d still be looking at a $60M deficit, police layoffs, and fire department brownouts. The federal streetcar funds would simply be given back to Washington for use in some other city, and the municipal bonds would be used on some other capital project, such as another football stadium for Mike Brown."
  7. And a pro wrestler. ;)
  8. "I was going to pick up an Enquirer today but I decided not to...you see, it was impossible to read because it is completely transparent."

I am surprised to hear that most replies are negative. I would've thought I was in the minority for not liking her show/public persona. Really, I can't be objective about why other than when I have tuned in I find myself immediately rolling my eyes. Other than that I think she just reminds me of someone from my past who was an annoying...uhm, person. Same for Olberman. As dry as sand and as sour as vinegar.
  10. This one blew me away...thought I knew all of the Cincinnati songs out there...and uh, the song is actually 3 minutes of club pop candy! I love it. Tila Tequila - Cincinnati
  11. Dwight Yoakam - South of Cincinnati
  12. Connie Smith.- Cincinnati Ohio.
  13. I took a drive on the new MW the other day and I must say it is surreal how a small move like that can make such a difference. At certain points I was almost disoriented and to see the added room between MW and river I was very excited for what is to come with that space.
  14. Who sent the email to Inbox 5 chastising them for their erroneous label of light rail to describe the 3C?

  16. Not to be personal but all I see in that video is a bunch of fat white men. There are so many unsubstantiated and false claims (and cliche's) in that video I wouldn't know where to start. It really is an insult to any informed citizen/voter that they focus so much on misconstruing operating budgets for capital budgets. Even so far as capitalizing on a young girls misfortune to make their point. Luken really reminds me of the over-simplified emotional appeals you would hear in those 1950's newsreels. Duck and cover. That phone ringing at 5:10? It was common sense calling - you'll notice they didn't answer.
  17. The irony of this is that Ohio will probably have to ask for $Billions from the feds when the state becomes insolvent due to PSE union pensions.
  18. Celebrating or binge drinking? :drunk: Is there a difference? ;)
  19. just put the spinning clock on top of the new tower, problem solved. There's an echo in here. Are my posts on ignore? Jake, I'd like to hear more of your rationale on the development east of Vine being attributed to C-suite commute patterns.
  20. This is way ahead but I would like to see an updated version of the spinning clock atop said tower. Hopefully it would finish of a top similar to Scripps with the spinner integrated. Who's with me? What I would hope is that the floors plates are not that large and (whatever size they are) that they are square, circular or irregular and not primarily rectangular like the unfortunately east/west oriented QCS/GAT. Although they are plain Janes, I love what Chiquita and 600 Vine do to the skyline with their angles.
  21. ^You guys all forgetting about the behemoth surface lot on Plum between 4th and 5th?
  22. Jake said in another thread that something might be in the offing for the spinning sign garage lot. Do tell.
  23. ^No doubt. Any type of upward development in SW DT would do wonders for the breadth of the skyline.
