  1. It is sung by Connie Smith.
  2. Wait, wasn't Riverfront Stadium's PG the largest in the world when it was built? By my count it had 4-6 exit points...I don't remember it being all that difficult to exit.
  3. surfeited? To feed or supply to excess, satiety, or disgust. New on on me...but thanks I'll use it at work tomorrow!
  4. I have to say...it has turned out to be about 1/3 taller than I envisioned it. I figured it would have topped out about where the 5th floor is. (Does that make sense?)
  5. SPoke to some suits on the site yesterday and found out this: Phase 2: "Construction to start 4Q 2006 or 1Q 2007 but demo could start earlier."
  6. Wow! Does everyone hate the fact that Cincy is getting a nice 15 story bookend to 3rd street? The structure is turning out to be taller than what I envisioned and I think it will look quite nice. Or we could have just left it empty...that would have been nicer. First level retail would have been tough in such a small footprint. This structure is no more than a complement to Phase II and I would think that is where you would get your first level retail.
  7. I cruised past on 3/5 and they are starting to apply the exterior architectural treatment that goes between the windows. It is an off-white color.

OK, crossing the CIn-Day Road overpass in West Chester you can see the top of the Carew. Check it out if you are ever up there. This is 21 mi. from dt.
  9. I couldn't resist this...what a disappointment that Mooron er I mean Moorman doesn't like it. I find the continuity of design appealing in Covington's skyline but cmon... There needs to be arch. diversity in order to keep it interesting. Sounds like most of us feel this way. Build it exactly as designed only 10 stories taller, I say!
  10. BTW, has anyone noticed the facing that they put on the WS Life garage across Broadway from the 303 site...? I wonder if this is a sample piece of the facade for 303... twnipper
  11. I agree with WhoDey...I think a significant structure away from the dense core of high rises that Cincy has would definitely add more to the maturity of it's skyline than another right in the middle (QCS fits this pretty well since it will serve as a bookend for the highrises on 3rd). Think of how the Kroger building adds expanse to the Cincinnati skyline when you view downtown from Mt Adams. Or if a highrise were built at Broadway Commons how it would have the effect of filling the "basin" with highrises despite being away from the core and having basically nothing between.
  12. sorry...i can't type today!
  13. Wait...is this for real??? The drawing is to scale with Key Tower and HOK provided it to you?!?! So is this and idication OCS has now gorwn from ~575' to ~950' ? The 'nati with an 900+ ?! Wow! Next we will get NBA and NHL... twnipper
  14. A rap artist named Mood had a song in 2002 titled "Cincinnati" A lounge act named Love Jones (from Louisville) had a song titled "Ohio River" (1993). It was a great tune! I would highly recommend picking up some of their music! BTW, I have been lurking a while and think this is a great forum. Everyone seem very knowledgeable and cool. I have been shooting photos of Cincinati for about 8 years now and am anxious to share...must get hispeed first though. twn
