  1. I don't like either option, but that's all we have it seems. If the county would be willing to renovate and move right into the existing building, I would say great. Unfortunately they likely won't do that, so that leaves the option of demolition and rebuild. This option would involve more money spent than should be and likely cost overuns, but it would also guarantee a fully occupied new building in downtown replacing a completely vacant one. If people would stop voting these guys in, maybe we wouldn't have to be in this situation. We need some new leaders with fresh ideas and flexibility.

I have been searching for the remains of my home planet. :) LeBron will need to have an average LeBron night and someone else will need to step up and hit some shots too. Defense will need to be consistent with last game. I have a feeling the Nets are going to come to play and we still haven't seen Carter break out of his funk.
  3. I thought that Cleveland adopted Akron as a suburb as soon as we drafted LeBron. No?
  4. any news on when this announcement is expected?

If they play with the same intensity and not have a let down ala game 3, they should be fine.
  6. I hope that Flats East Bank and Stark's plans do move forward but I still have doubts. They both have the potential to drastically change the city so I hope at least one works out. I plan on going to the Professionals in the City event next week and hopefully Stark will give some insight to the progression. East bank isn't ecpected to be a big retail area though right? I thought it was a few shops, grocery store, movie theater and lots of housing. Stark's warehouse plan obviously could be a great destination for some upscale shopping in cleveland and so could euclid ave when the corridor is up and running and E 4th st adds its new tenants.
  7. personally I'd rather see the stores on my list downtown in existing (rehabbed) retail space on Euclid, Superior & Prospect this will not happen until there is an established downtown market for such stores. I see beachwood continuing their trend towards adding new stores. They have the room now. personally I'd rather see the stores on my list downtown in existing (rehabbed) retail space on Euclid, Superior & Prospect not going to happen until there is an established downtown market for such stores.
