The Ohio State University Buckeyes Football Discussion
I went to the game Saturday and saw something I haven't seen in YEARS. Empty seats and a lot of them. South Stands below the scoreboard was empty. Tailgating was down some too. Normally by the time I get my drunk ass up and headed to C'Bus from Dayton we can't park in the really heavy tailgate areas. But, Saturday we drove passed our normal lot and got into one we've never been before. We had a great time though and the Bucks were victorious. Let's hope Pryor can keep it going.

The Ohio State University Buckeyes Football Discussion
Exactly. It was a wakeup call that EVERY game counts (I mean, seriously, who would take OU seriously) and they'll certainly "wake up" for next week. I'm not guaranteeing a victory in Los Angeles (I expect it to be a fun game, though) but they'll at least LOOK like a quality team next week. They better look much better this week or it's going to be UGLY. I have tickets to the Troy game and plan on tailgating like the last 2 weeks but if they lose big tailgating will suck. The same thing happened in 2005 after the loss to Texas. We had 13 people at my tailgate and it was very hard to get pumped up for San Diego State.

The Ohio State University Buckeyes Football Discussion
I have 2 negative things to say about the game and it has nothing to do with the way the team played. First off the ticket office better get their sh$t together on their will-call ticket pick-up. Last year I casually walked over waited about 10 mins and walked back to my tailgate and then went to the game. This year the wait was 30-40 mins. When I walked up to the Schott the line looked like the one for people still trying to buy tickets. And they grouped student pick-ups with the will-call. My friends had pack up everything and I had to meet them at the stadium. Secondly, what is up with the PA announcer and this, "That's another Buckeye........." and everyone yells "First Down?" That was so frigging annoying. I went to an OSU vs Purdue game back in 2004 and their band would play some queer tune and the fans would yell, "1,2,3,4, first down." The OSU fans were glad they could count to 4. They did this on EVERY first down not just the big ones. I sure hope this doesn't continue. One positive note though. As I walked from my tailgate to the Schott carrying a plastic cup with beer in it a police officer asked me what I had in my cup as I was about to cross Woody Hayes Dr. and I honestly said, "Alcohol." He said, "Go make a worm happy and pour it out." I complied and went on my way. This would not have happened pre Gordon Gee.

Kings Island
Like I pointed out on the KICENTRAL board the Diamonback's highest drop is only 21' feet higher than the Magnum at Cedar Point. The Magnum will be 20 years old next year!! They couldn't give us like 275 or at least 250!!?? I agree that Paramount didn't help KI that much but now that both parks owned by the same company we will not get a "real" record breaker ever again. I'm not saying that I won't ride it and I have had a GOLD PASS every year since 2000 but I have some pride and wanted something better than they have.

OSU vs USC Buckeye Bash
The Greene is in Beavercreek close to Kettering and Dayton. It is a multi-purpose outdoor shopping center like Easton in C'Bus.

I did a search and found the address of the bank was indeed 2600. It is a very small lot and I see problems for Bob Evans and other stores close to it.

Columbus: University District: South Campus Gateway
Really? Do you plan on hanging out in the garage at 3am? Just because two drunken kids got in a late-night fight doesn't mean the Gateway is an unsafe place for normal people during the day. I'm there at least once a week and I've never felt unsafe at all. I consider myself a "normal" person but it is possible that I would be at Skye Bar until closing and therefore be in the garage around that time. And the real question to ask is why someone coming to the gateway has a gun in the first place.

Columbus: University District: South Campus Gateway
I lived at 60 Chittenden Ave. while attending OSU in the mid 80's. There was crime and violence but nothing like there is today. I remember one drug related murder after coming out of Mean Mr. Mustards late one evening but that was about it. At least these thugs knew each other. The last person murdered in the Gateway garage didn't know his killer. This won't make me feel safe the next time I visit the Gateway.

What do you get on your burrito?
I have had burrito at 4 of the chains - Chipotle, Moes, Qdoba, and Hot Head. Hot Head is the worst of the bunch. I like Moes the best however, I don't like the fact they don't put hot sauce in the burrito when they make it. It's okay if you eat there but take out means you have take the little cups of sauce with you. They also are the only place that gives you free chips. I like Qdoba and Chipotle equally. Quality is good and they each have good flavored hot sauce. Hot Head only has Red Hot. I like chicken, black beans, light rice, sour cream, lettuce, cheese, and hot sauce. I do add some others depending on where I go.

Columbus: General Business & Economic News
I wouldn't think that the Woodman store will close. However, the DDN has been running ads for major sales at the Salem Ave. store the last few weeks. The ads have not mentioned the store was closing but the way the ad was designed it looks like it you could easily add those words.
