  1. ^^ Time to look at the Ohio Division of Liquor control and see who has put in an application for a liquor license. However, this does not mean they will build or move to an existing location. Outback has had a license for Beavercreek by Target for some time but they have not started construction.
  2. Well, let's hope that the train moves for the SoB improve the ride. IMO the ride is much worse now with the lighter trains.
  3. Bump Because Diamonds is a private club this law does not affect them. Business as usual. Although it has hurt business things are beginning to turn around by word of mouth. Definitely good news for us late night party animals!!
  4. Going to the UMass game tonight. Hopefully, they will pull out another win!! GO Dayton Flyers!!
  5. I am suprised that the Don Pablo's on Miller Lane stayed open this long. It was never really that busy. If I went out to dinner with my father who lives near there and did not want to wait at any of the other restaurants on Miller Lane then we would go to Pablo's. The service was not the greatest but we always had a good meal. There are people on the DDN that are saying the food is lousy but I never had a bad meal there. They also said that there were health violations at the Beavercreek location. I usually go there but haven't been for awhile. I don't understand the Ruby thing. It always seemed crowded to me but perhaps since they added the restaurants outside the mall they lost out on non-mall traffic.
  6. Since I wear small and medium shirts it is sometimes very difficult to find those sizes in the regular department stores. Some stores don't even carry small. However, there are usually tons of smalls and mediums at these outlets. So, it will be nice to have another option than Jeffersonville.
  7. I used to be a Bengals Fan too!! But I began to realize I was wasting 4 hours on Sundays to watch them lose year after year. I went to OSU and went to 5 games this year including the loss to Illinois. I have tailgate parties every game. But suffering through the Cooper years took a big toll on me. Too many losses to weak teams in bowl games after they lost to Michigan almost every year was hard to swallow. And I started having the same feelings of lost time but, instead of 4 hours it was a whole day. I knew we were going to lose and I could accept that but they actually had a chance to beat them if it wasn't for stupid penalties and poor play calling. And I heard that the players were fighting amongst themselves at half time. We'll see what Tressel is made of the next 2 seasons playing USC away and at home....
  8. The Rootbeer Stande opened for business on Monday. It might be for sale still but they have already opened and gotta get me footlong chili dog this weekend.
  9. Well, I could deal with this loss but after the 0-6 run of John Cooper against the SEC(including 2 losses to South Carolina in a row) and his miserable 2-10-1 against Meatchicken, I am done as a fan. We had an inferior team that had many chances to beat them. And what about Fox's great coverage? They totally sucked. Did anyone EVER see the first personal foul? And we had to wait until after the next play to see Jenkins step out of bounds on his interception. I got banned last night forever on the Buckeye Planet forum for bitching and bashing - Oh well - I guess I'll have many tailgate items to put up on Ebay including my alumni tix. Every man's got a breaking point - Morgan Freeman as "Red" - Shawshank Redemption ... and I reached mine last night.

Bump CompUSA sold; will close all its stores The retailer struggled with falling prices on personal computers and big-box stores like Best Buy. By Associated Press Sunday, December 09, 2007 DALLAS — Consumer electronics retailer CompUSA said Friday it will close its store operations after the holidays following sale of the company to Gordon Brothers Group LLC, a restructuring firm. Financial terms weren't disclosed. CompUSA operates 103 stores — including a store by the Dayton Mall at 221 Springboro Pike — which plan to run store-closing sales during the holidays. Privately held CompUSA, controlled by Mexican financier Carlos Slim Helu's Grupo Carso SA, said discussions were under way to sell certain stores in key markets. Stores that can't be sold will be closed. Read More...

  13. Last night driving home I noticed that the old Perkins at Wilmington and Woodman has reopened as the Starlite. I have no idea what kind of menu but when I get a chance I'll find out and post it.
  14. I could have gone to this game but that's exactly why I didn't go.
  15. It appears that they didn't get enough valid signatures. I signed it but they were not checking for valid registered voters. This is total crap. Phil Buress is a recovering PORN ADDICT!! He should have left things alone. I will miss going to Diamonds in Centerville becasue you were able to bring your own alcohol and it was open until 5 am. There used to be 30 dancers at 3 AM on a Saturday now there are less than 10. THIS SUCKS!! No Link for article
  16. Dude, you're only 1-2... the Patriots won their first Super Bowl a few years back after starting 0-2. The Bengals have a lot of potential... they're just prone to boneheaded mistakes and breakdowns. Yesterday my father came over I had the game on in the background and we left and had lunch. I didn't worry I bit about missing the bungholes. I just joined a football pool and picked KC. They suck and I'm done. I'll stick with my Buckeyes.
  17. You get beat by the Clowns and then lose in the last minute to Seattle. What's going to happen Monday when a REAL team comes to town?
  18. I will no longer waste 3-4 hours per week on the Bungholes.
  19. I was at the game again Saturday and it was ugly for the Wildcats. Total of -5 yards rushing!!
  20. King's Island was best when it was owned by Lindner before Paramount bought it out. Maybe so but that was before my time so I can't comment on how things were back then but that doesn't surprise me. The park seemed cleaner, and I think there were more food and drink options. Beer was also sold throughout the whole park, so you could be drinking a beer while waiting in line for The Beast. I never got to do this personally because I was too young to drink during this time. Well, guess what? You can drink throughout the park again. That may be the only positive thing. The older I get the more alcohol I need to just ride some of the rides anymore. They beat the crap out of you. And I will never ride Son of Beast again. If they think that it is smoother since the reopened it they are brain dead. I used to smuggle in a small bottle of Bacardi 151 rum so I could drink in line. Then Bin Laden came and they checked everything. I have been suffering ever since. The bad thing now is canned beer is $7.01!!
  21. Tickets for this Saturday's game against Akron are available for public buy right now at www.hangonsloopy.com.
  22. The She? Damn dude that brings back some old memories.
  23. Hooter's closed because of lack of business. With Fricker's closer to I-675 and the Dayton Mall I can see why they didn't stay open. Now, I like BW3 better than Fricker's and your not really supposed to care how the food is at Hooter's but the last time I was there the wings were so small 10 of them looked like toothpicks on those wooden plates. Also, the "talent" was lacking as well and that's what makes Hooter's. With the sports bar craze that is going on now they just didn't keep up with technology. They needed more HD TV's and had more special events to keep customers coming back.
