Cincinnati: Downtown: The Artistry
PhattyNati replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & Constructionthis would be a shame if the project didnt go though. it always drives me nuts when developers are hush hush about their projects. that blurb above is the only thing i have heard for months. this is an absolutely prime spot and these units will sell like crazy. get it going gregories!

Cincinnati: Downtown - The McAlpin
it looked like there were a bunch of people working inside the white corner building to the west. any guesses on whether the mcalpins workers were just using the spare space to spread out or is someone actually doing something with that space. those buildings sure look great from the outside...i hope they can match the pain on the bottom portion though!

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
^ wow...were the banks proposed so long ago that people were still drinking coke from a glass bottle?
-
Cincinnati: Downtown - Parker Flats
back to parker flats - seems like work stopped up there just as soon as it started. they are about halfway through demolition of the planting beds on central and fourth and only about half of the paving has been ripped up.

Cincinnati: Columbia Tusculum: Columbia Square
id say the burnt orange is brick, the light orange is wood, and the green is the tint of the glass...seems right on pace with any other building in the city

Cincinnati: Columbia Tusculum: Columbia Square
what a horrible shame....how in the world could that property not have been working into the plan
-
Cincinnati: Schoolhouse Lofts (E. Walnut Hills)
the developer probably blew his nose on a photo of the original building and that design was the result...then told the architect to "design" it this way or he would be fired. i havent been in the profession long...but if there is one thing ive learned its that the architect is not always the designer and that not very often are their opinions valued.

Cincy - Misc. construction
i think tearing down the skywalk from fountain square to the westin will do wonders to visually open up fifth street from on end to the other. i dont recall the huge circle on the 525 vine building from any design renderings...should be interesting. the 580 rehab will do wonders as well. now if we can just get 5/3 to actually follow through with the reclading of the parking garage that whole area will really have tranformed. go cincinnati!

Cincinnati: Downtown - Government Square
^ ahhh yes i understand now...those three pole "standards" are crap. some of them dont have anything on them too
-
Cincinnati: Downtown - Parker Flats
^ i guess i was refering more to the properties on mcfarland. i know there is a vacant poperty (well there is a dry wall or paper hanging company on the ground floor) that sits right next to the red fourth & plum building.
-
Cincinnati: Downtown - Parker Flats
^ agreed. it will visually clean up that corner quite nicely. who knows, maybe some of the vacant buildings there and empty lots will get a shot in the arm with some development of their own. they are down there doing steetscape improvements to central as wee speak.

drove by the site today on my way up to mt adams for lunch and there was all sorts of activity mainly dealing with removal of excavated rock...but progress none-the-less

Cincinnati: Downtown - Parker Flats
i noticed the "eviction" warning for the cars that still park in that lot for tomorrow....i guess it might be a reality after all
