  1. i sure wish someone would find SOMETHING to do with the white corner building. it was pretty funny...only a few days or so after the scaffolding went up, sume kids climbed up and graffitied the black portion above the top cornice on the fourth street elevation. it was almost completly covered with spray paint. pretty sad but they made quick and painted it back to black within a few days
  2. i think you're reading way too much into a concept model...but i think they actually have it covered. it looks like all the docks are independant of the land via the long bridge and that each of the docks might be stayed during high water by the vertical posts...but like i said this only in concept
  3. no, its still just sections

    awesome!
  5. good call grasscat...i knew something had to be up.
  6. has anybody seen any action up there recently? i try to drive by once a week but it doesnt seem like anything has happened for a couple weeks now. they are pretty far along with excavation but it seems like work has been halted
  7. ineed...nice to see this one make its way back from the dead
  8. they have taken brick off of the old garage incrementaly on the western side...a little curious. its in bands about 10 feet or so wide nearest the southwestern corner
  9. they actually have drop ceilings laid in the first three
  10. ^ ha...thats pretty awesome
  11. the "subject" parking lot has for sale signs all around it now...at least i didnt notice them until now
  12. i never noticed that the trusswork was not original...it looked so much more elegant without it. the bridge also looked so much more substantial before the river was dammed as the piers were not quite in the water and visible from top to bottom
  13. looks like they are moving along pretty well. not too much has changed on the exterior yet but i did notice a majority of the upper floor windows have been removed and they were beginning to paint the bay windows on the easternmost building
  14. ^ lets hope so, the banks is doomed to fail if they cant find a way to get affordable housing in there.
  15. interesting how the rich guy is driving accross the bridge to go to work (in the video on the buildings website). it should seem proof enough to me that there is a "build it and they will come" energy with high class architecture. i hope that developers take note especially those involved with the banks. and hopefully, if corporex remains involved with the banks, this will be all the proof they need to integrate cutting edge design into the riverfront. cant wait to see this thing go up
  16. ^ no they were done a while ago. unless there have been two rounds of photographs.
  17. i noticed on my way home from work today that they had painted the exposed cinder block to match the remaining brick
  18. well there is certainly a lot more "happening" now than there ever was before...its all relative i suppose
  19. well at least someone is talking about making it something special
  20. yeah that makes sense, but i dont think demolition will happen any time soon. maybe there doing some of it now just because they have some guys out there that need something to do haha
  21. doesnt make sense to me...if they are going to tear the whole thing down why would they waste time tearing brick off?
  22. i think it looks pretty sharp on that corner. ill admit like most of you i think the lettering looks like garbage...but only when viewed perpendicular to that facade. its not very dramatic seeing it going south on 75 but i was driving back from tennessee last night and saw the whole thing lit up comming off the brent spence and it was very impressive. from that particular angle the the whole building looks nice, especially at night
  23. interesting. was it "surgical" removal or were they taking a lot of it off?
  24. you'd think they would reference the same elevation when comparing the "old" with the "new" on their website.
