Cincinnati: Oakley: Oakley Station
^ It seems as though they have abandoned any thoughts of reusing some of the existing buildings. That is very disappointing to me. I think this can really be a great project and a definate plus for the Oakley/Madisonville neighborhoods.

Cincinnati: Downtown: 84.51°
Haha, wow. Those reader comments are pretty intense. Good to see some familiar names...and not so familiar names on there fighting back. Hopefully the city can dig up a developer with their act together. This project can be incredibly successfull if they make it affordable to those that arent super rich.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
It must be a paint in the butt right now for them. With so little of the garage cleared they barely have any room to work. They probably spend more time making sure they aren't about to hit something than actual demo.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
It doesnt seem as though they have made any progress over the weekend. Because of the ballgames?

Milford, Ohio
There are some pretty nice older residential streets immediate to downtown which are worth taking a look at as well.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
It seems to me like they keep going back and fourth which is odd to me. They'll level off...then dig something out from the area they just leveled...then do it all over again.

Butler County: Development and News
Haha...some of those reader responses are pretty good! The Enquirer sucks.

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati
^ I agree. Give it a few more years. Then, what better way to show first hand to all the suburbanites that come downtown for Oktoberfest the progress made in OTR. That alone would go a LONG way to changing the perception of the neighborhood.

Cincinnati: General Business & Economic News
^ Well yet another blow to the city of Norwood...about 1,000 jobs in a week? Its unfortnate that they arent considering the Linden Point project a viable option seeing how its just down the street, but im glad that it seems their front runner is a site within Cincinnati. I wish that portion of Norwood adjacent to the MedSpace building was planned a little better. It feels like a suburban strip/office condo develoment in anywhere USA. A nice, dense, mixed use project in that area would do wonders.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
If this garage was near the end of its life....i wonder how many lives ole pinkie on fourth street has left because it sure seems like its used up a few. That thing should come down tomorrow. I wonder how in the world they are going to remove the bays closest to the existing/new tower. Just seems like disaster waiting to happen.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
i assume that the water was coming from a fire hose on the roof to minimize dust

Dayton, KY: Manhattan Harbour
Wow..some pretty serious punches thrown at Cincinnati by Mr. Imboden. I guess the City should just settle for crappy, self serving developments and let people like David do as they will. At least then we'd finally be getting something accomplished in this city!!!!!!!!!!!! What a crock. Uh-Oh...did i just start another Cincinnati vs. Northern KY debate?

No turning back!

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
Is there significant progress yet? seems taking this building down will be no easy task.

Cincinnati: General Business & Economic News
If its that important to them that Cincinnati, Oh is on their products youd hope that being in Ohio would be equally as important. I realize that is asking too much in todays corporate world...im just saying.

Cincinnati: Downtown - Parker Flats
some of the details are really staring to come together on this project. Other than the few issues i have with the 4th street side i think this is a pretty nice project.

Cincinnati: Downtown - McFarland Lofts
They are actually doing pretty extensive rehab to the McFarland facade. They have been replacing window lintels, and doing extensive tuck pointing which assumed they would skip over. It looks like they are even restoring what was a bricked off opening right where the workers are in that picture. I wonder if they have any intentions on reparing the street level cornice...its in bad bad shape. They have pretty much not touched anything to the right where the fire escapes are...including cleaning. I wonder what they will do there.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
There were a number of pink flagged stakes down there when i went to the ballgame on sunday...maybe the sign of some initial surveying.

Cincinnati: General Business & Economic News
Im not exactly sure where you picked up any "NKY bashing". If you can indicate for me a better term than stealing then im willing to listen. But for me...its about as close as i can get to what is actually happening when a neighboring municipality offers incentives to lure a company away. I dont care if your NKY, Blue Ash, or even amazing Warren County. We are not in the "regional" wonderland that Dan Tobergte is implying...granted he is trying to paint the prettiest picture possible. I live in norwood so to me its personal. I do believe, however, that with a renovation the soon to be vacated building would make for a fantastic office complex. Do you think they are going to print "Boone County, KY" on each box of cards now....ha.

What a bunch of crap. If 500 jobs in the region truly benefit everybody then why so motivated to steal them.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
looks like they have definately closed up shop today at the garage. it looks like there was some paint markings on the sidwalk already too...perhaps to layout a fence.

Cincinnati: General Business & Economic News
Montgomery has wanted this land for a long time anyway...now they can turn that property into something useful.
-
Cincinnati: General Business & Economic News
Perhaps. They currently occupy three floors in the older section at 302 W 3rd...great loft like spaces. If its a similar environment that they desire then most likely it wont be the banks. Who knows. I just hope they stay downtown knowing how much the intend to grow.

^ The drab colors at this point are most certainly the result of a poorly executed digital rendering.
