  1. I know we have some good venues already but I wouldn't mind seeing a House of Blues down there. Deck area that opens with views of the river and NKY or something. We already have a solid music scene here and it would just help draw more national acts. And how about bringing shopping back downtown? I'd love to see a street of higher end shopping, similar to the stores in Kenwood mall. Model it after King St. (I think that's right) in Charleston, that place is always packed and a great area. I know it's historic but I could see the Banks pulling it off if done right by making it an extension of the city and not to "new."
  2. The live coverage looks crazy. Odd how it was only in the steeples and so high up...

Someone recently brought up an interesting idea on the Broadway Commons area. I thought it was different... A state of the art sports complex. Put in baseball/softball fields, an Olympic size indoor pool, basketball courts, exercise facility/trail, playgrounds. The CRC could use it for many of their different leagues and it would be available to the public. I guess it would be like Lunken. I mean I'm sure you could tweak it many way but I like the concept. Thoughts and opinions?
  4. My bad, didn't mean to make it sound I was in the know. By "all" I guess I was only meant Oceanaire and Nada (which is partially on 6th). The north side of 6th street looks rough in that block.
  5. ^^^ I second that!!!
  6. The entire sidewalk along 6th street is now open and it looks like all major exterior work is done. I think it looks good and agree with the poster above the extrawide sidewalks, they are a nice addition. Now they just need to fill that block. I've heard all the future tentants but currently the only thing occupying that block (on both sides) is a Subway and the Rise and Shine Cafe which looked closed this morning.
  7. What's the latest projected open date? I recently got a bed from IKEA, couldn't wait until this one opened, had to order it from the catalog. Can't wait to get up to this one and buy the crap out of things. Rando, at least you're from the Westside and have the Highlander roots!
  8. I LOVE the idea, too bad as some mentioned it sounds like too much of a pipe dream. Those old pictures of Lincoln Park are amazing, what happend to our city? On a side note, how many "Gateway" projects is Cincinnati going to have? P.S. Long time, first time.
