  1. Im glad they’re keeping the water tower and adding the CPD shield
  2. Excavation work on the Hilliard Road site in Rocky River that burned down 2 years ago
  3. Hoffas buried on site, they don't want anyone digging him up
  4. In short, alot of the DOD contracted shipyards shutdown under the BRAC closings in the 90s/00s. The end result is a deficient number of shipyards to maintain/new build/repair ships for not just the Navy, but the Coast Guard, ARMY, and Military Sealift Command. Much of the routine ship maintenance needed just to keep current ships operational is delayed by years due to this shortfall, let alone any new builds and unforeseen maintenance. It truly is a matter of National Security, especially with the ever increasing threat of the south china seas. The Lorain idea came from a former Navy Officer who knows this as well. While the Subs was a long shot due to our shallow lake, he knows its probably what currently has the most congressional funding lined up and was trying to get a piece of the pie. Regardless, the need is drastic and the Pentagon is in big push for reopening the old “mom and pop” ship yards with contract awards, so I can see somr form of shipbuilding returning to the Great Lakes in the near term
  5. Those Faux Porches are effing terrible
  6. I like this site plan much better. The previous design was terrible. However the current aesthetics of this building need improvement. Also, no balconies or rooftop spaces should be illegal for this space. Between the DT views, the river and the park across the street, I'm flabbergasted at the lack there of.
  7. One of the laborers for this project has been posting internal construction updates pretty frequently on one of the FB Cleveland History pages
  8. LOL, u just called a structure that (former City of Cleveland tower at least) has no light switches. 24/7 electricity use.
  9. Have u seen the Edgewater lot on a nice day?
  10. Tennessee Titans new stadium hype video. 1. Amazed to see a new build without acres of parking lots surrounding it. Im sure Nashvilles RE and Music Mecca helps with that. 2. Whether he knows it or not, Im sure this along the lines of what Jimmys gonna wannt
  11. Sounds more like a State Govt Handout to the Commercial Real Estate sector for their dwindling occupancy rates
  12. Great view of an angle I havent seen before. (photos from Facebook; Kevin Hawkins)
  13. Alot of the Great Lakes freighters had their keels laid close to 100 years ago. They’ve been recapitalizing their fleets past decade or so due to modern pollution standards
  14. Corruption, incompetence, inefficient govt, its really a no-brainer why these companies who aren't already established here, avoid this town/county like the plague
  15. Do a Public Records request, there is an above average 911 call volume to that address of a violent nature. I dont think moving to a residential area is the best idea. Maybe the lack of amenities will keep people moving and reduce the problems. Im NIMBY all the way if this was relocating near me
  16. LOL, Blaine Griffin who refuses to provide the funding needed to simply MAINTAIN a functional westside market wants to upgrade to a dome? Cleveland elected idiocy at its finest
  17. I most often view this thread on an iPad and all of these images you post via spacer.png I am unable to view, is there a setting I can change to view these images?
  18. Just took it, thanks. LOTS of questions about beaches! Looking forward to this project
  19. While working Part Time for the City of Lakewood in the early 2000s, I was told that the then St. Augustines (now LCA) was willing to donate their shoreline to Lakewood, IF they would turn it into beach and maintain it, but that obviously never happened. Hopefully the offer still stands and they’re rethinking.
  20. Its literally on fire for the 2nd time today as I type this
  21. That cemetary isnt as quiet as you’d think. Alot of the homeless party there when 2100 kicks them out for the day.
  22. Its not a shack, its a Paint Museum
  23. Sounds like something that could be done fairly cheap by a city that owned and operated its very own public utility company versus paying a private utility company. Good luck finding one of those

I am a Landlord. I want NOTHING to do with section 8. Ive been inside enough section 8 properties to know the level of property destruction the average section 8 tenant brings with them.
