  1. That tower is horribly beautiful - just like Albany.
  2. Thank God for AIG/Carter. Any local yahoo would have been a disaster.
  3. Are they going to make it match. Ok, vents or grilles might be better terms than lattice.
  4. What is up with that tower? Any history on that thing. Doesn't seem to match anything. Richmond, VA has an ungly "tower of power." Is that what that is supposed to be. Also, what is that HUGE new modern building?
  5. Beautiful structure. Very earth shattering design. Wow. Going to win lots of awards for creativity. Large, gray, box. Gorgeous.
  6. I understand the height better. Now, explain the white lattice under the board. It matches nothing. The square is going to be great. I am excited about it.
  7. I still can't figure out the round window at 525 Vine. It seems disjointed and doesn't match the rest of the building. And why is the lattice under the video board white. It doesn't match anything either. And why is the video board so high that you will have to crink your neck to see it from anywhere on the square except for the 9th floor of the 5/3 tower. I am confused??? Someone please explain.
  8. Jake Speed is the BEST! Glad to hear the Lady Genius is coming back home.
  9. Downtown is comin' alive, comin' alive, oooh oooh oooh comin' alive! I was downtown for the Acoustic Lunch today at Piatt Park. Our downtown is alive, eclectic, unique, vibrant, friendly and fun! I think we have very healthy urban core because we have an excellent fabric and urban people who really love this City.
  10. Cincy is about to take off. Lots of national tv attention with sporting events, the new Fountain Square bringing downtown back to life, the new convention facilities, condos gallore. I think this town is starting to act major league again. Hell, we even got the coveted IKEA.
  11. When you attract transient people to your city, you have to expect them to remain transient minded and pick up and leave eventually. What you have to keep doing in that situation is attracting people each year after graduation.
  12. Intresting ghetto.

    Looks like a nice city.
  14. Damn neighbors. I say let them build 30 stories if they want.
  15. I think it is great news and shows that Cincinnati is a competitive retail market which can draw the most sought after retailers.
  16. This is unreal. The ultimate in glutony.
  17. I hope it remains. It is a great addition to HP.

Nice pics. To me that City is forgettable and unpleasant.
  19. Is playing pool in your garage big up there?
  20. It is a bad location. NOTL has proven that critical mass is important. There is something for everyone there. I went to NOTL last weekend you couldn't find a parking spot for miles around. Traffic jammed up on the highway to get to it. Critical mass. Covington does not have critical mass. No one wants 115,000 square feet on 12th Street in Covington. I predict office or condos.
  21. Fountain Square is going to be packed. It is going to be THE place. I hope it destroys the suburbs and leaves them as empty shells of nothing. A movie theater is a must.
  22. Things come and go. I loved the bowling alley there. I've had lots of good times there. The place is huge - bowling, 5 stories of bars, game rooms, etc... It looked a little worn last time I was there. I predict it will sit for a while. That is a huge undertaking with Newport being nearby. Newport killed it. No critical mass near Jillians. Prediction - will be turned into medical offices for the new medical complex being built at 12th Street and I-75.
  23. Good lineup. Ice cream, coffee, bourbon, steak, fish, pasta, beer - my God - what more could anyone ask for. If the people in Mason don't want to come down, screw 'em. Sounds like they will be missing out. We need more press like this.
  24. Any word on Phase II?
