  1. Interesting stuff...
  2. Agreed on the location being awful...the only time I saw the place was when I was driving by it. (it also didn't help that the one brew I bought from them at Heinen's failed to impress)
  3. Dan Gilbert does not really care about the CLE, and this article proves it even more. I've said all along that DG only cares about making as much money as he can off of NEO citizens to cover his cost of his business' here, and taking the profits back to Detroit. Agreed but if DET gets eliminated before CLE he would definitely benefit from helping NEO...it just depends how the selection process plays out.
  4. I haven't seen this posted yet but if anyone cares what Dan Gilbert thinks about HQ2 in Detroit here goes... http://www.freep.com/story/money/business/2017/09/08/dan-gilbert-amazon-hq-2/645218001/ Now if Detroit for some reason gets cut out of the process before CLE does it will be interesting to see how Gilbert can help NEO with the bidding process.
  5. While I think CLE would possibly be a good fit for HQ2...I don't think the N Randall news makes a bit of a difference at all...Amazon is building these centers everywhere around the country. I just drove past one near Kenosha WI this morning...doesn't mean that MKE is any more (or less) a legit contender for the HQ.
  6. They (Aon) have a huge presence in Chicago...which may or may not bode well for cle.
  7. I have mixed feelings about Gilbert...but last time I checked he's brought more jobs to town than the other two owners combined. Glad this is moving forward.
  8. Or University Circle.
  9. Sucks. NBA had a vested interest in seeing this go thru, as evidenced by their goading the city to get this done. Hate to be a downer but this really doesn't bode well for Cavs staying in CLE long term.
  10. Amen...830 here. Good for the employees I suppose
  11. Love Heinen's. Happy to live 10 min from one of their Chicago stores. Plus I'd rather have my money go to a CLE-based company and not a Pittsburgh-based one.
  12. Also most of the time when a private equity company buys into another firm, there are rarely any HQ moves...unlike being bought by a larger competitor like when Office Max or BP were purchased.
  13. While I agree that the Cavs could most certainly move...let's face it if the Browns could move then almost ANY team could...none of those markets with the exception of Seattle will be getting the NBA anytime soon.
  14. My dad was a member at Key after 13th St Racquet Club and then CAC. He ended up joining the gym at the Aloft...not sure if many of the old Key members will go back.
  15. Quite honestly I was expecting worse...
