  1. Nice work on the notes!
  2. Although I would love to have two more towers in CLE, the design for Key is far superior to Ameritrust and Progressive's proposed buildings IMO.
  3. Gimmicky. But interesting all the same. Glad they're keeping the older buildings on High. I remember the Casa di Pasta, which loosely translated from the Italian was 'House of Pasta.' ?
  4. Fair enough... Just hoping that the place (FEB) continues to prosper in general.
  5. On a side note they are some nice shots ?
  6. Should I be disappointed that it looks like a tumbleweed should be rolling thru any one of those photos and the trains are basically empty? Or were these taken at an odd time?
  7. What street is that building on?! Great place.

My sources said Kiley lived out of a hotel during the week and left town every weekend...then eventually got an apartment...but still left most every weekend. Unlike Adam the Bull and Goldhammer, who have actually taken up residence in NEO and seem to enjoy living there. In other words, Kiley was ready to leave the market for good. I'll miss some of his routine, but I really hope Lima joins Ken Carman.
  9. Good catch...he just might have done that for the one live shot...lol.
  10. Very nice! Also CLE still the only city in Ohio to have 3d rendering in Apple Maps...
  11. Wow that does look like NuCLEus... Nice find.

My company once sent me there to field travel with a sales rep...never really made it downtown though...great set!

Can you have it in Chicago? ?
  15. Does anyone know what the plans are for Tenk Building? I knew it was up for sale but didn't know it was moving forward with development....
  16. I do like the fact that CLE's development path has been more diverse, with a variety of developers taking part. None of these developers, however, have committed to bringing THOUSANDS of jobs to the center city (granted, none of them own a company like Quicken Loans, either). Gilbert eats, breathes, and sleeps Detroit revitalization...at any cost. I don't get that feeling with Ratner, Geis, Maron, etc. but I could be wrong. I will also say that Detroit had a longer (and still does) way to go compared to CLE's downtown.
  17. Cleveland needs someone to step up like Gilbert has for Detroit. I doubt that happens anytime soon.

Great photos! What is that first building?

Welcome to NEO! One day I'll be back...?
  20. I went to Indiana U in Bloomington in the late 80s for one year and then left there to finish up at Miami OH. I know I saw him at IU, and I think at MU as well.
  21. Here is another show, IMHO, that should be downtown instead of the IX Center. Honestly it's hard to get a real feel on how the new CC will do when it has to compete with this remote hall. CLEVELAND, Ohio - MemPro Materials combines ceramics with nanotechnology to create tiny ceramic fibers that conduct electricity. Those same ceramic fibers can be added to other materials that go into circuit boards for computers or cell phones. "If you took a thousand fibers and twisted them together in a yarn, it would be the thickness of hair," explained MemPro CEO John Finley, who operates the company from both Cleveland and Denver. http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2015/04/vfirst_ceramics_expo_opens_in_c.html#incart_more_business
  22. I've followed them on Twitter too...
  23. The author, Glaser, neglects mentioning the true thorn in CLE's side here. What other cities on this list - especially in the Midwest - have to compete with another HUGE facility in the burbs for at least some of these events? Until the I-X Center goes away we will never truly get a feel for how good/bad the CCC really is doing. I for one remember going to the Auto Show (and every other event) when it was downtown...it really added to the experience for me as a kid/teen.
