The (ugh) Lifestyle Center Thread
Thank you. Now, thats a clear explanation. I remember reading an article in some local Columbus magazine talking about the 3C's dining scenes and they were saying how Cincinnati was always regarded as the premiere dining scene in the state. They went on to say Columbus was making ground with the opening of a few new restaurants recently in the Short North (Rosendales was one I think).

this is why suburbia is, by definition, unsustainable. What in the world can possibly re-use this space? Not much. Just like all the large vacant Wal-marts. Large spaces like that only serve a specific purpose and unfortunately that type of space ages quickly and if abandoned, has no hope. This is what these morons get. Good riddance. (Super pissy here)

Cincinnati Mills
isnt it the largest indoor mall in the state, or something like that? Yea, I always thought they did a good job on the renovation but there was never a chance. Lets TEAR IT DOWN and turn it back over to nature. Lets do that to the Golden Corral and Ryan's Steakhouse too. Ugh!

Cincinnati: Evanston: Development and News
Huh, an Interstate urbanizing....that might be an oxymoron. Its all great and wonderful to have these highrises as seen from the interstate, but how are these structures connected to their communities. Two words: They're not! The Evanston development turns its back on Evanston itself. The Rookwood developments: ugh! and well...Kenwood is Kenwood and the bs around the Baldwin Center is awful too. This development is, for the most part, bad. It is taking away from the CBD. I know that most of the tenants considering moving to this Evanston development are moving from downtown. And I know of another firm moving from downtown into the Kenwood tower. This is BAD! Atleast Keystone Parke is IN the city. Atleast...

Cincinnati: Our Lady of Perpetual Help
This church is still standing! I thought it was torn down already? I went through Sedamsville yesterday to check it out and it was still there, seemingly in its entirety. Unless of course Sedamsville has another church that looks similar to this one.

Your top 10 Cincinnati area neighborhoods
Yea, you have to be thinking of another neighborhood. CT is very well maintained, even in the lower part of the 'hood closest to the river. There are three different sections of the 'hood: lower, middle, upper. The upper is seeing some suburban type infill and their are also established mansions up close to Alms. The middle section is the best part, featuring the beautiful Tusculum Avenue and some branching streets. There has been A TON of infill here, some good, some bad, and some just awful.

True. :) Dont know if I agree. ha. But come on, where are your people's standards. We want the best for our communities. Let the suburbs have the 'this is better than a cornfield' mentality. we can do better. YES WE CAN! Gobama :)

Cincinnati: Restaurant News & Info
Well I went to Lavo. last night and it was PACKED I thought. And my boyfriend who works there said it was a typical night/kind of slow. I took that as an excellent sign. I have been a couple of times since it opened and IMO, the menu has only become better. And plus, the waiter staff always seems so friendly and nice. I LOVE THIS PLACE. Its a little pricey to go to all the time for a college student like myself, but it really is a great place nonetheless.
