  1. ^ so weird, that was my first though too. I miss grasscat :( and montecarloss :(
  2. i dont know, my parents are pro streetcar and they live in Harrison Township...
  3. oh im going. we should have a meet before, get drunk, and then show them what we really think... :drunk:
  4. i thought at first you said stripping instead of stirring. you piqued my interest then lost it.
  5. DanB, I think you don't understand the meaning of a joke and of humor in general. In order for it to be funny the receiver of it has to laugh...*silence* *Crickets* See, no laughter, thus youre not funny. Try something else to arouse us boring, lame, Urban Ohio folk.
  6. You have said this before, that you come on here to stir things up. Isn't that EXTREMELY immature and rather ignorant? I'll admit to my immaturities and name calling, but I feel as though I was simply going to your level. And yes, I need a drink, maybe 12. This school quarter has been hell for me.... ugh. Undergrad was stressful, but Grad school in DAAP is on another level.
  7. but who is to define reason? I use reason and see a clear difference between a streetcar and a trolley. Seicer uses it and doesnt, even if his avatar is claiming that to be a toy streetcar and a toy trolley, since apparently they are the same. Since when did the streetcar Cincy is building have wheels? If you're going to complain about people complaining, then stop giving us things to complain about.
  8. ^ I would imagine to streetcar would have higher demand, seeing as how the streetcar carries many more people at one time, its much more handicap accessible, and the stops dont take forever, waiting for people to get on like a bus. And plus, all the transit oriented development thats going to get spurred will only increase ridership and demand for this thing, which will make it more obvious to do the second phase.
  9. dont worry rando, I agree with you. Its a fact, Cincinnati folk are more negative than is necessary. And often, its not on issues in which they are educated on, its on issues they are completely ignorant to. Look at DanB, hes complaining about building some trolley in OTR, etc. Hes obviously not in the know...hes calling it a trolley for crying out loud. He also compared racial stereotypes to me a 'me picking on you' ordeal. lol. People are always complaining about crime in downtown...well thats just hilarious really. Dont worry Rando, I got your back.
  10. i agree. while i am not as positive as you, I often feel like a cheerleader for this city to everyone. Its really tiring and more and more, I let things go by, etc. But don't worry, I too am spreading the love and try to paint a positive picture anytime I can.
  11. downtown downtown downtown. safe as you can get. tell your wife to reconsider for sure. and in terms of an investment, i think downtown would be your best bet as well, as its always on the up and up

does this thing have a parking garage component? If it didnt, or if it was cut in half, it would be much more feasible. *bring in need for streetcar here*

    sigh....
  14. went to boca and really enjoyed it. The scallop dish was my favorite. Certainly an expensive dinner, but well worth it. For special occasions, this place is perfect.
  15. why was the albee torn down in the first place? A renovated fountain square? Ugh, can you imagine though...how in the hell can people tear down a building like that...gggrrr

very random thread. go peach! I like the mario character too! She kicks ass in mario-kart. Anyone else know the squeal she makes when she gets the "boosters" in mario-kart. I think straight guys would play that game and jerk off to her getting boosts every 5 seconds.
  17. well all I know is something needs to be done to infuse life into this area. it often feels dead. Maybe its because its winter, etc. and I havent lived here that long. Still though, some quality retail, shopping options would be nice.
  18. yea life needs to be infused into the area. there is basically 0 vacancy in the district so they shouldnt really have a problem attracting tenants. th eonly way id go to hang out at the proposed plaza is if they have wifi, and maybe while eating ice cream...
  19. ha, well in that case, sweatpants it is.
  20. well the bender optical building has officially been razed. I dont know how long this has been gone but I just noticed it today.
