Forbes: Columbus & Cincinnati among Top 10 Stable Housing Markets
"That Cincinnati performed so well in our calculations is truly a sign of the times" What exactly does this mean? Isn't the housing market always stable in the cincy area?

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
im still worried about the portion of the first phase fronting 2nd street. from a new rendering it looks residential, but when you open the .pdf of the summary plan on enquirer.com, it looks like a blank wall or maybe even a wall to a parking garage. bah! anyone have insight?

Cincinnati: Restaurant News & Info
No, it could work very well. They have this feature at a very nice restaurant in the shortn north in columbus. The restaurant is called marcellas and the windows open up so you get a very cool urban atmosphere while dining inside. love it. nothing like how cadillac ranch has it really.

Cincinnati: Some Hyde Park and Oakley
thanks for these. im not a fan of marburg square or mornington place. those 3rd floor windows on that marburg square unit are hideously oversized.

Cincinnati: Hyde Park: The Residences at 2801 Erie Avenue
no, we need diversity when and where we can get it. This city is certainly too polarized economically a sis the rest of the country. Its obvious and known that if poverty is concentrated, effects resulting from that magnify. The streetcars can and could bring diverse incomes together. Public transit is cheap and affordable and desirable for young professionals as well as the lower income residents.

yea, I am sitting here looking at them right now. Maybe they do, but I am not talking about traditional windows that open and close. It looks to me that even if the windows do open, there would still exist the beams in between the windows. It would be cool if you could literally lift up the entire area and there wouldnt be anything between the square and the indoor seating except for the difference in height of the restaurant floor and the square surface.

Cincinnati: Good Hiking Places
So I was wondering where a good place to go for a good hike would be in the Cincy area? I know Miami Whitewater Forest has some great trails but I was wondering if anywhere else is desirable? Anywhere within an hor drive would be OK. Any info?

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
well in the safe confines of urban ohio, i iam going to call most of the enquirer remarks ignorant. I didn't read one that went against the streetcar due to actual reason and understanding of the project. If I were face to face with them, I wouldnt say they were ignorant but try to actually tell them why the streetcar is a good idea. If, after I explain to them why it would be beneficial, and they still dont like it, well..... :shoot:

Cincinnati undesirable for young people?
when living in columbus, i saw cincinnati usa commercials a lot. they were fine except for the annoying little kid generic laugh at the end. i like the tag : come stay with us and we'll stay with you. better than "All together surprising."

ate at via vite last night, it was really good. saw david, said hello. first walked in and was very impressed with the decor and setup. Very sleek and modern feel and elegant at the same time. The seats to watch the kitchen were cool too. We sat outside on the terrace, which had a great feel on the square. There seemed to be alot of seeting, but in a small place, but it wasnt on top of eachother by any means. The live music was awesome, really a great vibe. Food and presentation were also great and dessert was amazing. The place was a bit pricey for a student such as myself so I am not going to be going there regurarly but it was definitely worth the trip. My only complaint: I really wish the downstair windows had some sort of feature to open up to the square, like a garage door type window that makes the restaurant feel apart of th eopen square. I know I have already said that on here before but something like that would definitely add a lot to the restaurant. But overall, this place is highly recommended from me.

ai enjoy riding the bus too, but I must say, it certainly has its frustrations...like the amount of stops on the 17 here in Cincy. Its like every block, and every time one person gets off. I just dont understand why there are so many stops. I felt this way about the 2 in C-Bus, although to a lesser extent for sure.

STICKY: Can I change my user name?
yea, I randomly saw Cincy-Rise comment in some random thread about it. Its funny how his comments take on a different demeanor because he has a different name and, well that avatar.

Cincinnati: Fountain Square: Development and News
yea i would have thought they could have incorporated outdoor seating in a better fashion. I think it would have been cool if, instead of the closed off windows that currently are on the square, they could open up, like a garage door, and open up to the square. The restaurant Marcella's in Short North does this onto High Street, and it really has a neat feel to it.

Cincinnati: Downtown: 580 Building
so does anyone know anything about any other tenants in this building? The work is progressing very nicely on the Oceanaire. And Nada is also coming along. Hopefully, with these wide sidewalks, a lot of outdoor seating, etc can come about from whatever everntually fills these retail spaces.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
ya know, if this city had streetcars, there is no question where I would live if I decide to stay here. Certainly, if streetcars don't happen, thats all the more reason to leave and find somewhere that can accomadate the lifestyle I want to live...and that is one without a car or limited car use. I know there are a lot of people who share this sentiment. Plus, its nice to live somewhere with positive energy and with a sense that its going somewhere. Streetcars can provide this energy.
