Cincinnati: Large Panorama Teasers of Breathtaking Skyline from 7/21/07
For me, the second picture is best. The way the bridge color and river color appear similar and then with Scripps reflecting similar color...simply beautiful.

Cincinnati: Downtown - Parker Flats
OTR is a separate neighborhood. The Banks is part of downtown. Downtown Cincinnati is only .8 sq. miles and goes from I 75 to the west, the river to the south, Central Parkway to the north, and I-71ish/Eggleston(not quite sure of the exact def. here) to the east.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Please, don't use that word. You sound about twice as ignorant using that word than any person writing about their streetcar opinions.

Walkable Communities
I got a 69/100. I live in the University District in C-Bus. And oddly enough, around where I am moving to Cincy on Ludlow, I scored a 69 as well.

yea I cant thank you enough for all the time you've put into this site. In one of my college essays for grad school, I actually wrote about Urban Ohio and how it has been a great way to not only network with other planners, but also gain insight into planning principle through people's remarks. Needless to say, this site has been important in my life for almost 3 years now, and I thank you and all the mods!

A Short Visit to BGSU
uuuhhh, C-Dawg, youre the first person I have ever heard say that osu's campus is "hideous". In fact, its quite beautiful around the oval, south oval, mirror lake, etc. I love osu's campus....a lot of awesome buildings. Some parts of it are hideous(Lincoln and Morrill Towers) but OSU's campus is anything but hideous. And UC's campus is the most interesting urban campus I have ever seen.

A Short Visit to BGSU
^I dont think OSU is too big.....it has never felt big to me. I dunno, maybe I am used to it. It feels small because all of your classes are on the main area of campus and its about a 10-15 minute walk from south campus to north. Now if youre an ag. student, then you have to go a ways to classes.....

"Urban Planning, What Is That, Like, Engineering?!??"
oh, and because I am was a geography major, people always expect/ed me to know random things like the circumference of the earth or what time zones certain cities fall into. Im like......bah!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
"Urban Planning, What Is That, Like, Engineering?!??"
Heres my situation... people: "whats your major" me: "geography" people: "oh, so you want to be a social studies teacher?" me: "no....not that kind of geography....I am a GIS major" people: "GIS....?!?!?!" me: " I will use it for urban planning" So I have always used urban planning to describe what I want to do so I guess that has not been helping people understand what I am talking about based on what you people are saying....bah!

Cincinnati: University of Cincinnati News & Info
thats good news that more people want to go to UC, but is this frosh class their best ever? I am sure that is their goal but with their budget woes, it wouldnt surprise me that they eased their requirements. I know here at osu, every incoming class has been the best class academically for years now. and the crazy thing is we still increase enrollment every year as well! go bucks! :-) ( i am going to be a bearcat this fall so go cats too!)

Cincinnati: Downtown photos taken on 6/14/07
that first shot is awesome. finally made it to downtown cincy on saturday and was certainly impressed with the amount of people down there. I know there was a reds game but there just seemed to be a flurry of activity and this impression goes along with the way I have seen it every time I have been down there this year(3 times now) So imo, DT cincy is well on its way.
