Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
also, can we have some sort of movement to get freedom way changed to something less...corny. I suppose this isnt that big of a deal but come on, if this is gonna be the main drag of a very important center in our city, then shouldnt it be something better and less generic?

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
i was also a little concerned about the price points of the condos. I am glad they are not way overpriced but I would have liked to see a range more around 150k to 400k. And I guarantee the 150-200k would have sold best if they are/were to be included in the plan.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
i thought that might be true but first off i wanted there to be development but second even if they are supposed to be parks then why didnt they put them in their renderings like they do the central riverfront park? I just hope something goes there!

Chicago: The Spire
150-story skyscraper could become tallest in U.S. POSTED: 2:35 p.m. EDT, April 20, 2007 Story Highlights • Chicago's planning board OKs nation's tallest building • Chicago Spire would be 2,000 feet tall, 150 stories • Lakefront office building has twisting design, would include 1,200 residences • Chicago's Sears Tower is currently tallest, at 1,451 feet CHICAGO, Illinois (AP) -- The city's planning board has endorsed a proposal for a twisting lakefront tower that would become the nation's tallest building. With Thursday's approval from the Chicago Plan Commission, the design and site plan for the 2,000-foot Chicago Spire goes to the city zoning committee next week. The 150-story tower, which would feature 1,200 residences, would unseat Chicago's 1,451-foot Sears Tower as the tallest U.S. building. The Chicago Spire was designed by Santiago Calatrava, the Spanish-born architect known for designing the Milwaukee Art Museum addition and the Athens Olympic sports complex. Ohio: Fortune 500 Companies Updates & Discussion
yea i think those numbers do include middletown and hamilton. But C-Bus's includes Marion and Chilicothe and is overall larger area wise than Cincys, which explains the larger numbers. But yea I dont know how you define an economic area b/c then I think Dayton and Cincy should certainly be considered one economic area.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
interesting that Crowley said the new designs look "more modest." The designs before were definitely not at a large scale at all so I can only assume he doesnt know what he is talking about, ha! ANd I am disappointed to hear that the architectural style has changed. I was in love with the original, but would have liked to see bigger buildings, not more modest ones. Hopefully they develop the caps over FWW, that would make up for the lost blocks to the park and the ridiculous Freedom Center lawn.

Cincinnati: Random Development and News
those condos in harrison make me gag. In high school, I did a lot of work for Mr. May in putting window shades in his developments across the west side. I can say these are the biggest p.o.s hes built in a while! Plus, they are cheap as hell, bringing down the average home sales price in Harrison. Bah!

Cincinnati: Population Trends
gggrrrrrr! I went to high school with sean criswell, the guy they interviewed for the above story. First, off, he graduated a year ahead of me and he wasn't the brightest guy then. Looks like things have not changed! Second, why is the Enquirer quoting the words of someone who lives in Harrison and is complaining about crime in the city and the Banks in the city. He should have no real say nor should he be considered to have a valid opinion about it if he lives in an apartment in Harrison. Bah!
