can anyone put together what a building of, say 30 stories or so would look like at this intersection. Isnt this area more on the western part of downtown? If the pyramid look is to stand, cincy needs more buildings on the west half of downtown. maybe if this building height gets increased it would help.

i dont think it is stunting the citys growth if thats true. its not like a developer comes in, says they must build a 575 foot building, city says no, and the developer leaves. give me an example of that happening. plus, its not like this proposal even comes close to carews height so its not like the developer wants more but cant get it b/c of a height restriction. but yea, i dont think there is one anyway, atleast not anymore. QCS2 will be taller than the carew if it gets built.

just to clarify and so no one simply scrolls through and sees that rendering, that rendering is for the nashville project and not cincy.

looking at most of those pictures, i couldnt believe what I was seeing. there is some good lookin homes there but many seem to be next to a vacant lot probably where some other house had to be torn down. so sad.

well ive never posted a picture of myself on here so I figured I should post this one, which is pretty damn funny. I did this to kick off my senior at OSU with a couple friends in Rittman, OH.
  21. i agree. i have never driven through the area and automatically assumed it was all a hole. by lookin at quimbobs pictures, there seem to be nice parts after all. I would like to see the name changed but I dont really like Spring Grove Village. I dont know, if the ppl of Winton Place want it, then I will support it.

  23. Winton Place to be renamed? Area's many Wintons create an identity crisis BY DAN HORN | ENQUIRER STAFF WRITER The bumper sticker on Bill and Julie Lonneman's car sums up their feelings about Winton Place, the Cincinnati neighborhood they've called home for 25 years. It features a big red heart sandwiched between the words "I" and "Winton Place." But while the Lonnemans love the rich history, diversity and character of their neighborhood, they are torn when it comes to its name. Bill wants to keep it. Julie wants to change it. The rest of the neighborhood is just as divided. "It's created some pretty strong feelings," Bill Lonneman said. "Everyone is talking about it." The debate started this year when some residents suggested changing the name to Spring Grove Village. Their goal is to distinguish the neighborhood from nearby Winton Hills, the Winton Terrace apartments and a half dozen other Wintons. Residents voted on the proposed change via postcard a few weeks ago, but the final results won't be known until mid-December because of concerns that some residents didn't get ballots. The tally so far gives a slight edge - by about 20 votes - to those favoring a change. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061127/NEWS01/611270387/1077/COL02
