  1. i dont really have much of an exposure to other media outlets besides cbus and it seems the same to me as cincys. WHat exactly do you mean by your comment monte?
  2. i was always interested in new projects. I found that old cincy rise or whatever that website was that preceded this one. Through that site, I was brought into this site when it opened and thus became educated on the great things the city has to offer. coupled that with the current college experience at osu and youve got an urban lover baby.
  3.
  4. now we need a movie theatre close by.
  5. cornhole is played all the time up here at osu. speaking of cbus related things, I just watched the Fox news at 10 for cbus and they talked about these ratings. They noted that cincy was rated #1 for nightlife and then the guy said 'hey only an hour and a half away from here lets go' or something to that effect.
  6. so the nightlife is based only on the amount of bars, clubs, etc per capita? So this means that Cincy has more bars, clubs, etc per capita than any other place in the nation....am I right or wrong? If so, thats pretty cool for Cincy. They do need a centralized place though. Its funny how people base so much on the existence of a central, strip like scene.
  7. thanks for the pics. it looks like it should be 3 or 4 stories higher from that angle.
  8. ^yes. wow youre good! How did you figure? Is it your background too?
  9. that is a pretty sweet picture. wouldnt mind workin there if i was lucky enough to get a window cube.
  10. i love columbia-tusculum. Tusculum rd or avenue or whatever it is is one of my favorite streets in the city thus far. I put one of your pictures as my background and my roommate from cleveland saw it and said 'hey thats a nice picture of san fran.' i was like, 'its cincy!'
  11. last time i was there, i fell right in devils bathtub (close to old mans cave.) if anyones familiar with the tub, you know how impossible it was for me to get out lol.

I-74 could be the best entrance to the city in regards to showcasing the geography and beauty of the region. If you havent done the drive, there is a valley or two you wind through plus you go through Mt Airy forest. I-74 gives a feel to Cincinnati that is TOTALLY different than I-75 or I-71.
  13. well. listening to that clip, its great to hear them talking about who they want to live there and how they want young people there. They went on to say they need to put their price points so they get those types of residences.
  14. ive heard very mixed reviews about grill 27. Most people have told me their food sucks but some have liked it OK and liked the atmosphere. I havent been there yet and still wanna go. the new bar is mcfaddens. doesnt cincy have one downtown?
  15. well this is always good to read.
  16. that was my first response as well. Regardless, these threads really give me something to look forward to on Mondays. Thanks Grasscat!
  17. ive seen prelim. renderings of this place and if it goes according to the plans, this place will be AMAZING. Too bad I will be long gone. But great for OSU. Also, I dont know if it is covered in the articles above, but they are going to build in front of the Union garage that currently faces High Street. That will make that area much more attractive that the current state. Save the air conditioning system!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. shouldnt this be under politics?
  19. it also looks like there is a near replica building of the enquirer building. Whatever happened to that?
  20. very 'old money' looking. Hyde Park and UA esque for sure.
  21. Is there much of a discussion here? I know the Maisonette used to be the only 5 star restaurant in the state. Now, that restaurant is not around and I still don't know what the plans are for it in Sycamore or if that got abandoned. Is Pigall's the only 4 star restaurant in Ohio because when it officially became a 4 star, I thought I read in the Enquirer that it was the only one in the state. Is this right or wrong? My friend said there is a French one in Dayton but I said no. Another friend of mine said there was some Italian one in Y-Town but I said no. Am I right or wrong?
  22. i wonder if chillicothe where still the capital if it would be the columbus of ohio or if it would have stayed a small town like springfield or jefferson city did.
  23. i hope they build some kick ass coaster that sits 4 across and isnt 1 second long like top gun, face off, outer limits (although i do love this ride), and pretty much every other ride paramount built excluding sob. seriously though, was it me or were most of paramounts rides generic and short? hopefully cedar fair brings back originality.
  24. no ones disagreeing or laughing here. i am sure most people would agree the river is very beautiful. didnt thomas jefferson say something about how it was americas most beautiful waterway? I am not sure about that but I think its true.
