  1. being a potential planner myself, is getting into the planning profession smart money wise? Do planners make good money or am I gonna go get my masters and only make so-so money?
  2. ^ I dont think hes comparing the developments of the places, hes just saying it will be market driven just like the suburban markets ask for big box and sprawl, etc.
  3. ive never been to europe but arent most euro. cities divided economically just as American cities are, its just that, in Euro. the rich and poor are divided by neighborhoods because of their property rights controls due to small country size and not by city v. suburbs?
  4. well considering the town is 53% white and 41% black I can understand why there is no gripe about other racial minorities.
  5. well yea but cincy's urban core is MUCH larger than Toldeo's so while the cities have the same size square mileage wise, the 78 square miles of cincy is overall urban while toledos includes some suburban type 'hoods. so, yea, there is a BIG difference.
  6. progress=awesome. thanks for the update. i cant wait.
  7. im glad to see they are refining, etc but START building it PLEASE. Oh yea, 2 years for 1 phase, 5 phases total. That seems like a long time. Too long. :|
  8. im very excited for Northside. An awesome neighborhood to begin with and add to that a bunch of ppl who care equals a truely incredible 'hood in years to come.
  9. i wish those pics werent in black and white. this is always good news for uc. i need to go there and check it out next time im in town.
  10. ohhhh right. ya know i knew this but I...well i am an idiot. anyway...down with surface lots in the city and the graeters news is good btw.
  11. well this is good news. looks like high paying jobs too. I wonder how many jobs this is exactly....
  12. too bad. hey, look at the bright side, atleast theres a surface lot there now.
  13. Yea its pretty crazy to think about. Obviously C-Land was overall more dense but was there any 'hood more dense than this pic? Cincy obviously would never be as dense as C-Land cuz of its geography.
  14. Done! Wahoo! Hopefully, down the road, it doesnt have to be turned back around when it is forced in the Abandoned Projects.

If I am not mistaken, Cincy's is .8 so C-Bus's is more than 3 times Cincys.
  16. i dunno but i think its about time we turn that frown upside down.
  17. i wanna go back in time and somehow find a way to preserve this. absolutely depressing looking at the before and after pics on here if you will. Oh well, atleast Cincy still has OTR. Just imagine an endless OTR though.

^ yea, this is true, even though this view looks odd to me. its almost as if this isnt a real view or something but, like David said, it looks photoshopped. I dunno.

  22. ^lol yea, if you can do all those things in a weekend and actually experience them rather than just see them, then either its a long weekend or you dont sleep.
