  1. not on mine either. I just turned 21 and need to get a new license. I lost my SS card and need to find something official with my SSN. Such a pain in the ass.....lol
  2. ^ why is delhi township highlighted as a city like cheviot or cincinnati, etc are in that zoomable map while green township, colerain, and all other townships are white?
  3. I work at Nationwide Insurance in Columbus as a GIS intern and we have located where these kinds of check-n-go places, etc are clustered and use it as one indicator in deciding where to put a non-standard auto outpost agent store. Non-standard auto is auto insurance for people who rent, live paycheck to paycheck, etc.
  4. that second to last picture is one of my all time favorites. I dont know why, I just like it.
  5. ok now i know we've had this discussion before, but I just want to get this straight. O'bryonville is a sub-neighborhood of Evanston much like Pendleton is a sub-neighborhood of OTR? Are there any other distinctions within neighborhoods/enclaves, etc?
  6. I know but I am saying my definition of a nice urban area is one without surface lots.
  7. being done right: NO surface parking lots
  8. yea i think im gonna buy the urban architecture one. Thanks for the post.
  9. isnt he the highest ranking ohioan since 1931?

this is so weird. I am watching the simpsons and its the one where they go to england and homer gets caught in a roundabout. It just went to commercial, I look over to my computer screen, and I see this topic. So I figured I would comment about that......I know youre all enthralled by my story.
  12. well i am glad there is interest from big name developers, I just hope they dont suburbanize the plans. Hopefully they keep it as far away from mall of america as possible.
  13. yea, the suburbs are exceptionally conservative but the city of cincy itself is not conservative and actually the city of columbus is more conservative than cincy. Eaton is not apart of any metro to my knowledge. Cincy has more wealth and buying power than any other metro in ohio as well, just an interesting fact.
  14. well if I HAD to pick one, I would pick Cincy because its the most south. But yea, no city in Ohio will host a superbowl cuz its too cold here in january/february unless we get a domed stadium.
  15. are you basing these judgments on geography or actually being in cincy and experiencing the culture?
  16. Why? I am sure it was tongue-in-cheek about Cincinnati's conservative reputation. tcjoe1985, here is why... next time, check the Q&A: 5. Why did you choose the Cincinnati area? About 2/3 of Americas population can drive to Cincinnati in one day! In addition to those 170 million Americans, millions of Canadians in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec can also drive here in one day. Most convenient, the museum will be close to I-75, the busiest north/south interstate in America. http://www.answersingenesis.org/museum/faq.asp No need to get all mad...........I didn't even make the statement about the conservativeness of the Cincinnati area. I just said that I was not surprised it is being built in the Cincinnati area; and besides I'm not against religion and I don't think that since the Cincinnati area is more conservative it is more religious (although the two go hand in hand sometimes). Heck......it'll probably be a nice addition that draws people from all over (although I would personally probably never go to it). Just to be fair, you did mention the reason for your lack of surprise as to why they located in in Cincy. Why? I am sure it was tongue-in-cheek about Cincinnati's conservative reputation. Yeah, pretty much. :)
  17. you better do the same for february. afterall, my 21st is in a week!!! everyones invited :drunk:
  18. yea the 5/3 tower looks like what queen city square is suppost to look like. Oh, I see, since QCS cant be built, theyre just gonna make 5/3 look like it as a compromise. Oh well, Ill take what I can get.
  19. theres gonna be a damn forest in the heart of downtown. Too many trees in that rendering I think. I hope theres not that many. I kind of like the modern looking new facade. Its just OK to me. Anything beats the old look though.

im always the one in the group of my friends that knows places like the back of my hand. plus, I am a map maker by trade (GIS)
  21. while i agree that i would rather see people downtown any day, I for one am excited for this. For one thing, it is a HUGE development that is going on in the county and not in Warren or Butler. And second, being from around this area, I am glad for Southwest School District. That place needs new blood. Also, I would like to see all of Western Hamilton County developed. But, of course, my allegiance is to the city. But if I had to choose a second spot for development, this would be the area for me.

does anyone have pics from the ski resorts in and around ohio(perfect north). I have never seen what boston mills (i think thats the name), the other one next to that, and mad river mountain look like.
