  1. There, corrected your post. Ha ha! Thats for sure. What a waste of space she is.
  2. No, I meant demonstration. On page 33, CTownsFinest216 proposed (perhaps jokingly) organizing a demonstration against the selection of the suburban office-esque design proposal. Lets demonstrate!!
  3. Clvlndr, excellent post. I agree 100%. The placement of the Stadium is an absolute atrocity. Why place ANY sports venue--especially one that is used so infrequently--on such prime property? I also endorse the tax. I believe the benefits of the MM and CC far outweigh the drawbacks of the increased tax rate.
  4. When is the demonstration??

No way Varajeo gets anywhere close to $9-10 million per year. If that was the case, he would be making more than the man he backs up, Drew Gooden, who makes around $7 million per year. Varejao is a good energy guy, but he cannot score, cannot defend, and will be significantly less valuable if the NBA institutes the much discussed no flopping rule.
  7. I agree with Mov2Ohio: the medical center should receive priority since it has the potential to be a much bigger source of revenue and growth for the city than a county structure. While not an ideal situation, the city can afford to live with 5 more years of vacancy on the Ameritrust site.

I am referring to the glass house building-the one with the wavy blue roof. I walked by it earlier tonight and it did not seem as if much progress has been made for awhile. Additionally, I am curious about the occupancy rate. Thanks.

Whats going on with the condos? Why are they not yet finished? Are they having a problem selling units? Thanks!
  11. Good thing he did this. I shudder to think how much of an eyesore it'd be had he not have taken this action.
  12. Its a shame the student center turned out the way it did. It is quite the monstrosity. A hodgepodge of awkward design elements, shapes, and textures that do not mesh well. Its as if the architect took the worst elements of design from the last 3 decades and combined them into the most physically revolting building one could dream up. I almost prefer the current center.
  13. I find it humorous that the article cites as a reason for demolition the fact that the building is not structurally sound enough to stand up to earthquakes. Apparently, it hasn't had a problem in its 36 years of existence and should be okay into the foreseeable future unless somebody is expecting a rash of earthquakes soon.
  14. Its good that you shared that here, or else how would we have found out with Sun omitting it? Thank you!
  15. Thank you, KJP, I have been a long time lurker of the board and have enjoyed tremendously the discourse and sharing of inside info that is found here.
  16. Did you all see this? From the PD: The revival of East Fourth Street Posted by Bill Lubinger June 19, 2007 19:53PM Categories: Arts & Life By Bill Lubinger Plain Dealer Reporter East Fourth Street was "the liveliest, gayest block in Cleveland," the Cleveland Press touted in 1936. With a mix of shops and cafes, theater, music and art schools, the street was the place to be -- when downtown was the only place to be in Northeast Ohio...
  17. Thanks for posting that. It looks great!
