  1. Bank of America has been slowly creeping in... but who knows.
  2. Could someone explain how deflation would be bad when many things are priced as high as they are right now?
  3. I guess my question would be if this isn't considered a Transformational Project... what exactly is?
  4. Whatever day and time as long as it’s not on a Monday and I should be good to go.
  5. Love this decision- and I’ve always been a fan of this building! Keeping the windows is an absolute must! And this should do a lot for this stretch of Superior- which I’ve also always loved. As a side note, I think this building was one of the proposed demos that ODOT wanted for the eventual widening of the freeway… ODOT can go kick rocks anyways.
  6. Could be…
  7. Still not betting on playoffs this season at 4-7, but today was maybe the first time I’ve seen them play a full game all season. Defense ***actually*** did well and stepped up when the offense was in a slump. Brissett has literally played himself out of a backup role and will likely be a starter for another team next year. What’s crazy is that he (even while being a backup) is one of the better QBs we’ve had within the past 20+ years. Browns fans shouldn’t do anything but wish him the best after this season.
  8. This is hilarious 😄 https://www.instagram.com/reel/ClUC-suJckl/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
  9. I don’t think the trade is the problem. There were other teams who were willing to make the same deal for draft picks. Cleveland was actually out of the running until the last minute. Watson SHOULD be a major upgrade over what we had. Everyone was expecting a suspension, but no one was expecting 11 games. Meanwhile, we have a good QB as a backup, a top-10 ranking offense in the NFL with said backup, but a defense which was supposed to be good on paper and has absolutely FAILED several times this season, being the primary reason why we’re 3-7. That along with special teams, missed and blocked field-goals, allowing 30-yard returns, etc.
  10. Except for today, a huge majority of the times Brissett did the quarterback sneak, he got the yardage and we got the first down. In fact I can’t remember a game before today where the ball was turned over on downs after the quarterback sneak failed. Today it failed twice. Woods has gotta go- but at this point, I don’t know what good it would do to get rid of him with seven games left. The whole team will be evaluated from here on out- coaches included- until the end of the season. It saddened me to see the pic of Garrett sitting on the bench alone while the entire team was on the field after the game. I hope he doesn’t seek a trade- he’s one of the best players in the entire league and I hope he retires a Brown. He wants to win. We all want them to win. It’s just one thing or another with this team, every year.
  11. A must-win to keep playoff hopes alive today, though I’ve pretty much lost faith in our Joe Woods led defense. Hoping that we’re 4-6 after the game.
  12. This count is from 2015, which was roughly 4,000 cars over a 24 hour timeframe back then. Every time a street is shut down, people find a way around it to still get to where they need to go. Think of all the times streets have been shut down (temporarily) for movie productions... those of us who worked downtown still found a way around. The growth of CSU would positively affect both Cleveland and the region. I would hope that shutting down E. 21st and 22nd were at least considered as part of the planning process.
  13. 100% agree and as an alumnus I’m all for the name change.
  14. ^I wonder if they were originally from Cleveland… we all complain about the weather and the last few years have been kinda weird here too. It was April 2019 or April 2020 where we had the most rain during the month on record- it rained everyday except for maybe three during the month. I can understand living with our weather and just wanting something different; but I feel that anyone who chooses to move to the desert isn’t really thinking long-term. Seriously. I guess time will tell.
  15. The point is the multi-billion dollar company made the decision to move out of the city to a more suburban setting while still remaining in the region. Cleveland didn't even get the chance to make an offer as the news of the move was learned by the City the same day it was announced. We can't be mad at the City for that; it was a decision made entirely by the company for whatever their reasons were. We're in a time where the future growth of our cities won't be based purely on economics alone- Covid turned that on it's head and people are moving to cities for reasons other than just where the job may be physically located. MM made their decision on their own, for what they believed was for the good of the company and we'll just have to live with it. Thankfully, the dollars will remain in the region. What can be done is, hopefully, lemons can be turned into lemonade after the sale of the building to a developer who could have it remain offices, turn it into a mixed-use building with offices and apartments, or just apartments. Maybe some type of other use could be found for the building. What we do know is that the housing market downtown remains intact. The continued growth of residential options for future residents isn't a bad thing.
  16. Regarding people and cars, I can say that members of the County Planning Commission are working in conjunction with the City on TOD zoning efforts to be made countywide. This is in large part due to half of all development in Cuyahoga County between 2011 and 2021 was actually built in the city of Cleveland and in close proximity to transit cooridors. https://s3.countyplanning.us/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/TOD_State-of-TOD_10-17-22.pdf. Getting back to Bibb- last week sucked for him. All politicians have a bad week. Leaf pick-up will continue, and he likely learned he can't just up-and-leave during an interview (that might work for some politicians at the federal level without much notable backlash, but not locally). Agreed on the honeymoon period being over- I'd say that the chronic issues which the City has dealt with for years won't be solved overnight. However, the City has some things going for it right now that will benefit it and the region for years to come. With the 8th largest ARPA award in the Country, there's a true chance for generational change. I'm rooting for him to get things right because it benefits us all if he does.
  17. Yeah I was looking at the post on my phone and the picture didn't pop up in the quote. Nice building!
  18. They played hard, but came up short. I think avoidable, stupid penalties had a big impact on the game.
