^Are you closer to St. Clair (#1 bus) or Superior (#3 bus)? I get wanting to get on the rapid, but if you're in Glenville you're right in that it's not convenient and is like going backwards in order to go forwards. I can say that the #1 bus from Glenville can be quick in the morning, even coming from further east.- Cleveland City Council
If I remember correctly, Brancatellli did not have the backing of the Democratic Party as he did not back Mona Scott during her campaign to become Housing Court Judge. Because of that, the Democratic Party decided to not back Brancatelli during this election cycle. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. It's ugly, and I don't like it- as Tony sincerely cares about Slavic Village. You knew he was passionate about his neighborhood just by speaking with him. But it's the reality we live in currently. What I will say is that for Slavic Village, the residents there couldn't have elected a better Councilman to lead the neighborhood through the Foreclosure Crisis. Tony literally saved the neighborhood through demoing most of the blighted strucutres. Now the neighborhood has a better chance for growth in its next chapter, but I wish it was Tony who would have the chance to lead it.- Cleveland: Random Photos

That will never, NEVER get old :-D Nice addition for Midtown.- Cleveland City Council
Hough has had some positive momentum under Jones- I hope the ward looks forward instead of backward in this election.- Cleveland: Scranton Peninsula: Development and News
Good- this will be the creation of a neighborhood pretty much from scratch. Standards should be higher given the location.- Cleveland Browns Discussion
With 1:31 left to go in the 4th and us being out of time-outs, was I the only person who believed Baker could get it done? I said, "Well, there's enough time to get down the field. Let's go Baker, make it happen"- only to waste maybe half of that time trying to get the next first down without being able to stop the clock. I like Stefanski- I really do. I think this team has a great future with his leadership. But dammit- I don't know what to make of that last drive. There had to be a play to get out of bounds and stop the clock with no time-outs. Any play. There's lots of blame to go around for this game. Sure- the Refs sucked, and our D struggled. But that game was winnable on that last drive. Baker could have gotten it done but wasn't given the chance. He's due for one game saving drive- I feel he has it in him.- Cleveland: Glenville: Development and News
^Outstanding-It's great to see investment happening north of Superior and into St. Clair. I've said for a long time that when investment begins to hit this area, that the neighborhood would be truly turning a corner. Some may not know the dynamics of Glenville but the neighborhood is like many other parts of the city where you'll have a street that looks awful next to a street where homeowners take care of their properties. I'm familiar with these apartments- here's hoping for more outside investment believing in Glenville.- Cleveland: Random Photos
I absolutely loathe those satellite dishes added to the crown of Key.- Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Not to change In the 90's, the suburbs were en vogue. Now it's downtown and central-city neighborhoods.- Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
I'm hoping that the project actually becomes a reality- it looks like an updated version of what Forest City proposed before but this time is focusing on dwelling units more than office space.- Cleveland City Council
LOL that would be a step backwards for the Ward. What a joke.- Cleveland: Cudell / West Boulevard / Edgewater: Development and News
Or they could just let that portion of the lakefront erode; maybe the owners change their minds when they realize they're literally losing land due to their own ignorance.- Cleveland: Population Trends
What is the link for the local numbers?- Cleveland: Population Trends
From the list- Euclid, South Euclid, Lakewood, Parma, Strongsville, Westlake, Shaker, Warrensville, and University Heights gained over the 2019 estimates. Cleveland, North Royalton and East Cleveland didn't. East Cleveland's decline has been dramatic.- Cleveland: Population Trends
Jobs, jobs, jobs. Though the metro grew by a small amount, I was actually expecting another loss for city, county, and metro. The metro is finally on the right track when it comes to the economy. If you want to pinpoint when the region turned the corner, it would have been after the 2006-2008 recession. Up until then, the largest sector of our economy was manufacturing. Eds and meds didn't pull ahead until after the recession as the largest sector. The population shift hasn't come yet on paper- but should be bright and clear during the 2030 census. Our manufacturing sector is at around 11% of the regional economy. That's in line with many other metros. The eds and meds sector is well over 20% of the economy now. We will see growth; the small regional growth we had this census was a win. And with the housing market (demand) being the way that it is, it may not take that long for us to see a larger change here when it comes to population.- Ohio Census / Population Trends & Lists
Cleveland metro grew- which is a win even if it was by a small amount.- Cleveland: Downtown: Progressive Field

How about brownfield remediation? Brownfields definitely put the city at a disadvantage.- Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
The title was definitely meant to draw clicks. They could have literally chosen pretty much every other large Midwest metro and we still would have lagged in overall numbers. What they wouldn’t get into detail about is that in the last ten years Cleveland went through what other Midwest metros had already gone through. It wasn’t until after the 2006-2008 recession that Ed’s and meds finally overtook manufacturing as the largest economic sector locally. Let that sink in. The region is on track for growth in the coming decade. 2010-2020 was the last decade of Cleveland’s decline and stagnation- Cleveland: Random Visualizations & Massings
^The Wilson Tower at E. 55th/Chester, technically in Hough.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
200 has grown to be one of my favorites- from certain angles it is without a doubt a showstopper. Im hoping the same will hold true for the SHW tower after the finished product is up and we’ve all had the chance to take in the effect it has on the city.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
^The Terminal Tower rightly grabs the most attention in the night skyline; though I’m hoping for some dazzle in lighting, I think TT will keep it’s fair share of the attention. Now- if Key Tower we’re to update the crown with some dazzle, that may be cool… but that’s getting off topic. I’m excited to see what the new SHW lighting concepts will look like as the tower will draw its own attention being the new player in the skyline. The Courthouse Tower drew attention in the past just by the lighting of the cornice (I wish that would come back) so something just that simple could make SHW stand out.- Cleveland Guardians Discussion
Cleveland changing name from Indians to Guardians Associated Press CLEVELAND -- Known as the Indians since 1915, Cleveland's Major League Baseball team will next be called the Guardians. The ballclub announced the name change Friday with a video on Twitter narrated by actor Tom Hanks, ending months of internal discussions triggered by a national reckoning by institutions and teams to permanently drop logos and names considered racist. The organization spent most of the past year whittling down a list of potential names that was at nearly 1,200 just over a month ago. But the process quickly accelerated, and the club landed on Guardians.
