  1. Let's see if we can do two better :-)
  2. Elevator core topped out!
  3. This project has to be the best exterior renovation of a historical building I've ever seen- they've done outstanding work.
  4. Built to the street on Chester; not so on Euclid... I honestly don't know what sense that makes, but I guess they're following the "Green Ribbon" plan that was put in place a few years ago. At the very least, the building looks decent- better than some of their recent construction.
  5. Outstanding pics! I'm trying to get down to Las Vegas for the first time this year, and I hope to get some good shots as well. Thanks!

^I recall him being great in the regular seasons and then somewhat fading to the background (or disappearing) during the playoff runs. As the back-up, he won't be in the same situation as before; hopefully that takes some of the stress off of him.
  7. From the Carlos Jones concert Father's Day weekend...
  8. ^True- but so will any other architectural style chosen. I'm not opposed to it in design- I would have hoped for something a bit more transparent, which could help out in the perception of safety for some.

I went downtown last nite and sure, we all wish they could have pulled through but dammit- this was a great season!
  10. I wonder why this was added when historic rehabilitation projects have been so successful? Does giving subsidies to property owners make the Governor look unfavorable in any way since he's running for president (at least supposedly)? There has to be a reason for putting a moratorium on a successful program for two years.
  11. Some taken this morning...

And just to add, I LOVE their new owner (at least to Wikipedia last night)...

What a great win last nite- after the first half I was expecting the Bulls to bounce back and for it to end up being a close game (going to the Cavs, of course)- but HOLY SH!T- I wasn't expecting a blow-out! Great game, great defense played by everyone on the court. And Delly- during most of the regular season I have to admit I didn't see him as being as good as he is. Sure he would hit the Delly-Tray when needed, but I didn't see him as an offensive player. Great on defense, but not so much on offense. I think he proved me and all of the other unbelievers wrong yesterday- I'm glad he came through and showed what he's made of last nite! True team ball, and it felt great to watch! And ohhh... it stings, doesn't it Chicago?

CAVS BABY!!! A win is a win!!
  15. One more from this morning, looks like they're about half way up.
  16. Pics from this morning...
  17. Agreed- Can't wait to see it lit up at night- placemaking elements are important in districts and neighborhoods in drawing people and giving them curiosity to check-out what's going on. This should look great!
  18. I'm ok with it... the massing shows the buildings fronting Euclid with parking accessible on the side streets. From the article, it seems like most would be taking transit to access the buildings anyways, so it's a plus for the Corridor- which doesn't need any more suburban style developments along Euclid. If we're talking about Chester, then I'd say go for it... but not along Euclid. The infrastructure in place along Euclid calls for tighter, higher density development and settling for less time and time again would be a huge waste of an opportunity, IMO.
  19. From this morning... more glass...
  20. Don't know if anyone else has noticed... but the trolley drivers have been dressing up like rock stars this week. On the E-Line, on Monday the driver was dressed like Alice Cooper... face paint and all (loved it)- today the driver for the route was dressed like Tina Turner (loved that too)!
  21. Thanks for clarifying- I thought that was a reuse of the Lube Stop (and if you want to talk about reuses- that would have been a doosey).
  22. I thought that was where the Lube Stop was... still a creative reuse nonetheless.
  23. As always, OUTSTANDING pics MayDay!
  24. Pics taken this morning... Glass installation almost completed on Ontario...
  25. I couldn't find a thread regarding potential developments in East Cleveland- including the possible merger in the future of East Cleveland and Cleveland. To start this off... East Cleveland: Mayor launches talks on possible merger Tom Beres 7:34 p.m. EST February 6, 2015 He said its options are declaring bankruptcy, cutting a deal with creditors or merging with its neighbor Cleveland EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Should financially troubled East Cleveland merge with Cleveland? Mayor Gary Norton is starting community-wide talks on that politically controversial question. He's stopping short of endorsing the idea for now, but he says it's time the community looks at long-range options.
