Cleveland: Opportunity Corridor Boulevard
I know that this is wishful thinking, especially with ODOT, but if we absolutely MUST have this roadway built, it must (in my opinion) include rail access straight down the middle of it throughout the entire length of the roadway. We don't live in an era of cheap gas prices anymore, and providing quick access to exurbanites isn't the best urban planning idea floating around C-town right now.

LOL at the Public Square image!!

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
That is a great website for the FEB. I'm been getting more excited about this development as we know that it is coming to fruition. In fact, I would love to own a condo there someday.

Cleveland: The Residences at 668 Euclid Avenue
That would definitely be nice to see!!!

Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
^I believe so, pope. I remember Virginia Benson speaking of that building a couple of semesters ago; I remember her saying that the building would be demolished for a new construction.

DFAS Cleveland
I would also be interested in the actual number of people who work downtown. An estimate by one person is great, but what is the actual number? Also, as more businesses have been moving downtown, and we were at a downtown working population of approximately 144,000 people (according to the former Downtown Cleveland Partnership back before the recession), I wonder if we are at at least that right now post recession? I would assume that many businesses have moved downtown since then as we have a need for more Class A office space.

Cleveland: Downtown: The 9 / Rotunda / County Admin Development
I rarely post as well, and go by a different name on that site (CleTomorrow). It amazes me how ignorant locals can be towards this city. But this is great news, nonetheless. Downtown is definitely building momentum; I can't wait to see the changes in the near-future.

Rethinking Transport in the USA
With the amount spent on the war... every few months, who's to say that we could not build the needed infrastructure in this country? We need to get our priorities straight, and quickly.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
McCleveland that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for that insight. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: we should wait and see what unfolds with this project. I have a hard time believing that this will just stay as an office tower, and that a hotel might be added into the mix as soon as the convention center site is chosen (as downtown is the most logical place for it, but that's another discussion). I have stated earlier in this thread that I would like to see a tower on this site that says "We believe in Cleveland", as signiture buildings can say (think Key Tower, Terminal Tower). I would like a building with more height, as many others would. However, we must look at what is best for the future of downtown at this point, and this building will make that corner

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Especially over a rendering! There has been no project scope or inforamtin given! Well, what's done is done. It's a new day!! We can get back to our proper discussions about the property now and not worry about the hissing matches last night!!

The Hogan family should be ashamed of themselves.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Boy, this guy is off to a great start, isn't he? Especially when you start off with... And what exactly is considered "big-time" development? A super-tall skyscraper? You have much to learn about the development of cities if this is the case.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
^Again, no need to jump to conclusions about the tower as of yet. No, I don't have any insider information, but we know what was proposed for the site before (not that we need that at this particular point in downtown's growth, but just as a historical reference). The Ameritrust Tower was also mixed0use, with a hotel being part of the development. We'll see if Jacobs has any mixed-use prospects in mind with this new tower as time goes on. We may see the height of it rise along with the demand of a new address on Public Square. Also, cut the "small-time city" stuff out of this discussion. No need for Cleveland bashing here. Take that to Cleveland.com

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Are you serious? Just to name a few. [*]East Night and Lakeside [*]Pick a spot between Huron and Canal streets [*]The parking lot on Euclid, between East 6 and East 9 Streets. [*]The parking lot on Prospect, between East 6 and East 9 Streets. [*]East 9 and Bolivar. Nobody here is saying it's "perfect" but its what is economical NOW. You can't provide the P&L/Financial Package or Real Estate forecast for this project, so how can you make statements like "it has to be taller" and base comments solely on a RENDERING? Is any of this sinking in man? Prospect is SCREAMING for some type of development. That street has one too many surface parking lots east of East 14th.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Again, let's wait and see what happens with the proposal. Remember, nothing about the design is final, and we all know that he has been waiting for the right time to build on that lot. You never know, the plans could definitely expand. What's good to know is that he is serious about building on this lot, FINALLY.

Cleveland: Random Development and News
I love the detail that they are putting into the Tower, and I know that this type of work takes time; but DAMMIT, I would love to see that tower without all the scaffolding!!
-
Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
^What is also scary is the direction of these new proposed sites; it seems as if the Commissioners are saying "either Tower City, or a site that just does not make sense". This whole ordeal is really starting to p!ss me off.

Cleveland: Bob Stark Warehouse District Project
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! Can't wait!!!!

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
Yes, for the sake of Cleveland, I hope that it goes on the current site. Give the medical mart to Forest City so they can shut up.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
^Yep. We can also thank the developments in suburban communities upstream close to the riverbank for added soil loss which flows to the mouth of the Cuyahoga, further making it appear brown. This is the main reason why the Cuyahoga is dirty after a large storm (no matter what anybody says, this IS the main reason! lol).

Cleveland from the 41st
GREAT PICS!!! This angle always has me question... just exactly what is that on the horizon? I know it has been discussed before, even seen before at this angle in other pictures taken by other forumers. It looks like another skyline, however, it's probably not. What exactly is it?
