  5. ^i'm ignorant, but is there actually discussion for athens-cbus commuter rail?
  6. budgetary constraints. This was right before the expansion. They laid off the very people critical to keeping their prized works in tip-top shape.
  7. Because Little Italy has no on-street parking. Its up to you to get a "Residential Permit" from the city of cleveland, costs like 15 bucks a year, and gives you free reign in little italy.

I have no idea why....some were talking like he's a great replacement for Tiki. Dream on Giants.

  10. I used to live on Lancashire and subsequently have been in practically every building on the street. I never noticed a problem with any of the kitchens, and they all seemed a good moderate size for a 1 or 2br apartment. (same applies for hampshire)
  11. but only if you live in a downtown zip code! make all transactions at work!
  12. I think, a while back i gave a list of zips that traveled to NYC for shoping and Cleveland had quite a few. I know 44108, 44118, 44120 & 44122 (Cleve/bratenahl, Cleveland/Shaker, Cleve Hts, Shaker/Beachwood ) zips were on it. I also had a list of chicago and S. Florida. I'll have to dig them up. Don't worry, I remember it.
  13. ^well start telling your friends who live downtown with downtown zips to start making major purchases.
  14. ^I think you are giving that category far too much weight. I'll tell you what, let's all pick a retailer and we can write 1,000 letters and see what happens.
  15. I wonder how many times I've said this in this thread. Retailers just don't plop down wherever they feel like. They look for a variety of market conditions: downtown worker population, resident population, average income, % of those with an advanced degree, etc. That isn't to say, Forest City properties is marketing their properties well, or that the market conditions are getting ripe, but "Retailer X", isn't going to open up its store just because someone asks them.
  16. as far as i can tell, its a moderate expansion completely politically motivated (city of detroit and other large firms have pulled their assets from Comerica and are looking around for a new bank)

  22. Plaza tenants fight S. Euclid in court 2 Cedar Center businesses resist city's plan Tuesday, March 13, 2007 Thomas Ott Plain Dealer Reporter South Euclid- The owners of the Cedar Center shopping plaza have agreed to sell the property to the city, but a court fight goes on because two tenants don't want to move. Lawyers for Abba's Market and Grille and Anatolia Café began presenting a case Monday against the city's use of eminent domain. The restaurants can't stop the owners from selling, but Cuyahoga County Probate Judge John Donnelly could let them remain under the terms of their present leases. The hearing will continue into the week.
