the signs on the trains that advertise to passengers to look out for "people performing surveillance" don't help.

So is Joe C saying (or you, i'm confused) that increased ridership will increase TOD development? I think i'm confused, or someone is putting the cart before the horse.

because Joe can't recite reasonable construction costs for rail off the top of his head, i always get a little worried. btw, is the standard norm per mile still in the 10-20 million dollar range? bottom line, at least Joe is recognizes the need for TOD, lets hope he can pull cleveland's TOD head out of its ass.

when has it become acceptable for a news reporter (at the akron beacon-journal) to quote statistics from wikipedia? Get off of your lazy ass, call the clinic and ask a doctor.

  10. back on subject, i caught the tail end of something (on the news) that happened at what I think was the Great Lakes Brewery? Any details?

well I don't know many GMs that operate based on teeth quality, so hopefully Ferry makes a good decision either way. Look we need good players...but can't us boys get some eye candy of the deal as well?? Youre people atleast have those half naked cheerleaders to gawk at! I've already slept with one of them, its nothing to write home about.

However, if TC was built today with the roster of tenants it had when originally opened, would it be successful considering there is a much larger downtown population. We can only speculated, but I think yes. i would speculate no given the duplication of retailers at both Legacy/Beachwood & Cracker Park (really we can choose not to split hairs on this subject by going over every "new original" tenant in tower city and whether they exist elsewhere nowadays......though market conditions have changed positively, blah blah blah, make nice, back on subject, blah blah blah)
  14. i think maybe we've discussed it before, the former Century at the Ritz has new awnings up outside, its called the "NiCE 1926" or something. Not sure if the inside is open or not, was only walking past outside.

I believe secretly that the Board of Licenses is mocking you right now! But seriously: 1) I doubt the Liquor control board would be this "proactive" or "activist" 2) by the time they could get the ball rolling on some type of uniformed approach to backhandedly dealing with tobacco violations, the rules for tobacco violations would be in place 3) How much documentation is available of tobacco violations occurring during this "bizarro non-enforced" phase?

i still maintain my previous post.
  18. and yet you are still complaining about our complaining.
  19. ^detroit has a similar five year rule also. Though there is some creative ways to have your monthly rent act as a mortgage payment.....

^methinks the Licenses Board would be overstepping their boundaries by rescinding liquor licenses for tobacco violations also, "willful violation of a state law"? seems a little harsh for a misdemeanor. I mean, by that logic you could take a liquor license for a bar owner littering on the sidewalk.
  23. ^the food or the waitress? or both?
