Cleveland: Industry, Steel Mills, and More
I love all the random pipes around independence, just running to and fro, along roads, up and over roads. I always want to spend time down there at sunset/night taking pictures, but I get afraid of 1) Industrial Security and 2) the RR gestapo.

Cleveland: Random Development and News
didn't think this deserved its own thread, but: Cuyahoga engineer's office starts up new county map, info system Engineer's new system starts today Page 2 of 1 Detailed information about houses and businesses in Cuyahoga County, which used to take hours - even days - to find, will be available with the click of a mouse starting today. The state-of-the-art online mapping and information system will be available for free on the Internet, provided by the Cuyahoga County engineer's office. Today marks the start of a testing phase, which will last several months while engineers tweak the system, said Kevin Kelley, information technology administrator for the county engineer's office. There may be delays during this initial phase.

TB1000, I would prefer this thread not go down that route.

Cleveland: Opportunity Corridor Boulevard
i love this line that equates pavement to progress: "They have quietly worked with state and federal "stakeholders" for two years to try to pave the way for new pavement, and new opportunity."

Cincinnati Enquirer: Rampant Racism in the Comments Section
I believe its a losing battle on any newspaper site. The people don't comment at newspaper.com to have informed discussion, they log on to prattle away from their myopic viewpoint.

Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
US news ratings are based primarily off of three factors 1) Medicare Statistics (ergo if you are a children's hospital, there is no data). 2) Technical Components of the hospital. I.e. Having a gamma knife or a CPOE 3) Straight up doctor survey. So if Dr. Pete at Firelands Regional thinks the Cleveland Clinic is great at Heart..... Those are from last year, and US news really doesn't change much year to year. As you can See Master, Akron will probably lose a lot of point from poor recognition and the fact that its overshadowed to the North.

Cleveland: Downtown: John Hartness Brown Buildings / Euclid Grand
I agree. Those are going to make some sweet condos! I'm assuming with tax credits this will have to be apartments for the first five years......

I would say the current symbol is pretty much (IMO) the accepted visual symbol for a train.

Cleveland: Population Trends
C-Dawg et al, I will not let you take this down a Cleveland vs Cincinnati Route. We will not be comparing Any of the three C's here. I do not care if you think MSA XYZ should have county ABC, I don't care if your prefer DMAs, I don't care if your great grandfather was Mr. Census.
