  1. I've never found the traffic to downtown/CSU too gawdy. I live on the eastern edge of the heights and by car its about a 20-25 mintue commitment. Or when I was car free in the coventry neighborhood, I could be downtown in about 30 minutes.

  3. ^yeah, coventry road provides a great atmosphere for younger people. Pretty much everything on the stip is aimed at the 20-30 college and post college age group.

for some reason people love asking me for directions, however its never in cleveland or detroit: it usually happens in random ass towns like mansfield, defiance, east liverpool, etc.

i think retro simply implies almost any new construction of the last 10 years dating back to camdem. Its the new cookie cutter stadium of the 60 (three rivers, riverfront, astrodome, philly's old one)
  14. ^if you've seen one portman, you've seen them all. (don't think he has any works in ohio......notable ones that is....)
  15. ^well you're previous post stated june 2-3rd. No biggie.(maybe i'm blind) However, most of us dorks will be in columbus for that meetup.

a city's true greatness is defined by its status on a monopoly board
  17. letsgorams, well you picked a good weekend, http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?topic=7606.0 the urbanohio cleveland meet. I realize you may be tied up with rental consultants and the like, but there will be a herd of nerds going through the city completely at your disposal that saturday.

^well when you have ohio stadium versus 5/3rd if you pick anything else you are a homer.

its quiet in here. At least post some optimistic predictions for saturdays game, that i can mock you with later. (all pope taunting is in good fun and in the spirit of homerism)

then there is CRIK on the east side...... still nothing beats the legendary TRTL
  23. quick overview on the NFL monopoly. With its extensive revenue sharing system, virtually every team is guaranteed a profit (or near). The NFL rakes in the dough from licensing, tv/radio broadcasts, etc. then distributes its evenly. Add in a salary cap, and voila, owning an nfl team is a cash cow (especially when you get the tax payers to pay for your stadium).
  24. Have you ever tried to ride a bike drunk? Its amazingly difficult. You'd be surprised how much you take your sense of balance for granted.
  25. there's local guy in little italy who drives to the bar with his bike on the back of his car. He thinks he's outsmarting cops by riding the bike home (has quite a history of car related OVI's). I tell him every time that he can still get a OVI, and he doesn't believe me. I should call 1-800-GRAB-DUI just to teach him a lesson. I don't like it when people disagree when i know i'm right.
