  2. on the casinos note, detroit may have found its santa claus as the sands casino wants to build a casino/convention/hotel. There are a few hurdles in the way, but the fact that it could be done with nearly no public financing would be phenomenal.

  7. i know i'm out of date, but in 2001 it was 5 bucks to go from penn st to rockville station one way on the LIRR........i know its not that far out there, but that wasn't so bad

  16. isn't montreals underground pretty significant too? i think i remember it cutting underground a lot of the old part of the city leaving the history in tact (i could be wrong)
  17. if i a person is dedicated to seeing their city/neighborhood grow (whether it be in the burbs or city proper) they will spend their money there anyway
