I am thinking Hotel 71 in Chicago http://hotel1-px.trvlclick.com/ I was a bit off, but TD Centre is Mies furniture in a Mies Building. Why not Breuer in a Breuer?

Cleveland: Hotels, Conventions, and Tourism News & Info
Thats due to the age of the property. Rooms were not as large then. Same thing at the drake in Chicago. My complaint is not about size, it's about decor and condition of the items in the room. I've heard the that ventilation, A/C system whatever in the Renaissance is horrid. Go to the White Candle Barn Store in Tower City and ask them how many candle they sell to people staying at the Renaissance.

Any word on this?... These areas just look kinda out of place Also noticed on my jog. I feels like one of those composite ground rubber sports tracks, or the newer not-wood-chips play ground areas. Seems/feels permanent to the feet.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
To chime in as a former employee of a LI Restaurant. Its hit or miss and its definitely fading, but I still recall times where I was working and an African-American person would enter the restaurant, sure enough someone (a customer) would yell, "did it just get dark in here"? Also, the LI Old Guard tried to take care of the condos coming in by repeatedly destroying and breaking equipment of the build. Because the outsiders were threatening their existence. And by "outsiders" I mean "Harmless White Catholic Suburbanites."

On my jog yesterday, I noticed most of the questionable treelawns were mowed (between the innerbelt and E 36th)

Great insight, I'm thinking of his TD Centre in Toronto, where the board room is still exactly as he designed it. Including the furniture and carpet. (with the exception of the women's rest room added).

You do realize it's very easy to manipulate anything written on your myspace/facebook page right? I think MTS is trying to "catch" those who though they were cruising under the social radar un-noticed and oblivious to the fact that others see that crap. I for one facebook a lot of my contact and potential hires.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
That conversation has been had by me and many others on this forum dozens of times, because we all know a city's true greatness is measured by the height of its skyline.

Comcast or Time Warner?
Ahhh...what downtown. Can that be added to the title of this thread? Granted, Time Warner is superior to all cable company's. I'm thinking you might be biased

I could have sworn we had a way for members to communicate completely off-topic things between each other without posting in a thread....what was it called....?

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
I look at it this way, I'd rather have 1,000 employees holed up in a poorly planned building, than 5,000 employees holed up in a poorly planned building. What does that even mean? Lets assume the worse and we end up with another Key Tower with no presence on the street. I'd rather have fewer people held hostage in a smaller building, than more people held hostage in taller building (this is a very weak argument to prefer a smaller building).

Detroit Red Wings fan from Cleveland throws octopus at Pittsburgh Penguins arena
You posted in response to an article about a Fan throwing an octopi on the ice, which as intelligence dictates has nothing to do with Bettman, the NHL, Al or anything related to when the octopi flies at the Joe. If you go back and read the article about twirling, Bettman is 100% fine with octopi being thrown on the ice. Is there some serious malfunction where you can't let an argument go, even as trivial as this? I could respond "you are poopy-head" to your next post (Which I know its coming), and you'll respond and respond and respond and respond. Its like if you don't get the last word and convince yourself are correct, you'll be unable to go to sleep at night.

Twirling by Al has been banned. [/reading comprehension]

Actually that was mentioned in that section. (sans any asshat comments)

Funny, because Bettman allows it to happen. He's only told Al not to twirl it on ice anymore. [/fact checking]

Cruising through the articles, I get the vibe they were looking for people really community focused.

Ohio & National Intercity Bus Discussion
We are probably confusing Amish with the Mennonites. Broad sweeping generalization is that while Mennonites will not directly use modern technology, they will allow the use of it (i.e. taxi, greyhound). However, we also have to understand that whatever olde timey society we are talking about, there are large variations within since the community largely determines norms. I.e., The community in Sharon doesn't talk to the community in Sharon Creek, so they might end up with slightly different interpretation and rules to live by.

I also heart Pacific East, also the fun bonus is when you order a lot and you get the happy wooden boat to bring your sushi to you. (yes, I am a five year old)
